Learning the Wrong Lessons From the Fort Hood Massacre

Posted by BH 9:31 pm 2-27

What perfect timing for another blockbuster critique by one of our finest American patriots and military experts, Scott Swett. Be sure to send this fine piece far and wide. Now definitely is the time or our entire U.S. armed forces could be fatally subjected to de facto DHIMMITUDE!  This is REAL. It's happening, and it must be confronted, halted and reversed or our national security will be run out of Riyadh..............or even Tehran.........whichever sect wins the struggle for world domination, while we suffer the horrific consequences of the blind pandering of Obamanism.

Learning the Wrong Lessons From the Fort Hood Massacre

By Scott Swett

Submission to Islam has been institutionalized by our national security apparatus. The official handling of the Fort Hood massacre proves the case.
On November 5, 2009, Major Nidal Hasan, a U.S. Army psychiatrist who had previously served at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, shot 45 of his fellow soldiers at the deployment center at Fort Hood in Texas, killing thirteen. It was the most deadly shooting attack ever on an American military base. Maj. Hasan, who had been scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan, was charged with murder and attempted murder, but not terrorism. His court-martial will begin next month. Meanwhile, Maj. Hasan continues to receive military pay, as well as free medical care and legal representation from the Army.
Immediately after the shootings, President Obama called Hasan's actions "inexplicable" and suggested that he may have "cracked" under stress. The media followed suit, emphasizing the stress of treating soldiers emotionally scarred by war, and insinuating that Hasan had been unfairly picked on by his colleagues. One talking head said "we may never know if religion was a factor" in the killings. Another lamented that Hasan had failed to "reach out for help." In reality, Hasan had long exhibited bizarre, menacing behavior that would have gotten him kicked out of the Army several times over if not for his protected status as a Muslim. The sympathetic disinformation was intended to hide Hasan's actual purpose --  to kill as many infidel American soldiers as possible for Allah.
A ticking bomb
During his residency at Walter Reed, Nidal Hasan was asked to prepare a scholarly presentation on psychiatric issues. Instead, he produced a completely off-topic lecture that failed to include a single medical or psychiatric term. In it, he wrote that the Qur'an teaches that unbelievers should have their heads cut off and be set on fire. His superiors asked him to make changes, but the final version of Hasan's PowerPoint presentation, which he gave in June 2007, still focused almost entirely on Islam and the Qur'an. Hasan stated that having Muslim-Americans in the military poses the risk of fratricidal murder of other soldiers, and added the comment, "We love death more then (sic) you love life!"
Nevertheless, Hasan was selected for an elite two-year fellowship at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Two months later he gave another off-topic presentation, arguing that since America was at war with Islam, suicide bombings and other violent responses were justified. Hasan's classmates protested his remarks so vigorously that the instructor had to stop the lecture. Later, Hasan told classmates that his allegiance to the Quran took precedence over his military oath to defend the Constitution.
During his USUHS fellowship, Hasan performed poorly and was placed on probation for repeatedly proselytizing about Islam to patients and colleagues. However, his supervisors gave him outstanding officer evaluations that ignored his obsession with violent Islamic extremism. Instead, they praised his "unique skills" and his "extraordinary potential to inform national policy and military strategy." Colleagues interviewed after the shootings said they feared being labeled "racist" or "Islamophobic" if they spoke out against Hasan.
There were many other red flags:
  • Hasan gave $20,000 --  $30,000 a year to radical Islamic "charities" overseas.
  • Hasan argued online that Muslim suicide bombers are morally equivalent to soldiers who heroically fall on a grenade to save their comrades. He also repeatedly expressed support for suicide bombers when talking with colleagues.
  • Hasan spoke favorably of the murder of two US soldiers at a recruitment center in Little Rock, saying "This is what Muslims should do, stand up to the aggressors."
  • Hasan's business cards displayed an acronym widely used on jihadist websites that translates as "Soldier of Allah."
  • Hasan had attended the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia in 2001 (as did two of the September 11 terrorists) while the imam there was Anwar al-Awlaki, a leading al-Qaeda commander and recruiter later killed by U.S. forces. Hasan frequently told colleagues of his "deep respect" for al-Awlaki's teachings.
  • Unusually for a psychiatrist, Hasan took extra classes in weapons training.
In May 2009, the Army promoted Nidal Hasan to the rank of Major.
"No terrorist connection"
Even though FBI investigators knew that Maj. Hasan was communicating with al-Awlaki, they decided he posed no threat. In one email Maj. Hasan told al-Awlaki, "I can't wait to join you" in the afterlife. Al-Awlaki himself recalled that Hasan had asked for guidance on whether a Muslim should kill American soldiers and officers. Even so, FBI sources told the media after the shootings that "no terrorist connection" was involved.
Al-Awlaki praised Hasan's attack, calling him a "hero" and a "man of conscience." The al-Qaeda spiritual leader added that "the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the U.S. army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal." In a video released after his death, Al-Awlaki said the Obama Administration "tried to portray the operation of Brother Nidal Hasan as an individual act of violence from an estranged individual... in order to cushion the reaction of the American public."
Yusuf al-Khatab, leader of the New York group "Revolution Muslim" also applauded Hasan's killing of American soldiers, whom he called "slain terrorists... in the eternal hellfire." He wrote in a message online, "An officer and a gentleman was injured while partaking in a preemptive attack. Get Well Soon Major Nidal, We Love You."
A senior government official said that Hasan also had other "unexplained connections to people being tracked by the FBI."  Those connections have not yet been made public.
Ignoring the elephant
In August 2010, the Department of Defense released Final Recommendations of the Ft. Hood Follow-on Review, a summary of "lessons learned" in the wake of the shootings.
Most of the proposed changes focused on improving the flow of information between agencies. Other key issues included "clarifying force protection roles and responsibilities" and "ensuring that we provide top-quality health care." The DOD did go so far as to commission a study to "identify behavioral indicators of violence and radicalization," but carefully avoided discussing ways to identify potential Islamic terrorists in the military.
Also conspicuously absent was any discussion of the Federal policy that forbids U.S. military personnel to carry personal firearms on base. Had Fort Hood not been a "gun free zone," Maj. Hasan's victims could have defended themselves against their attacker.
An earlier DOD analysis of the massacre, Protecting the Force: Lessons from Fort Hood, specifically addressed how Army policies and procedures had been applied in the case of the shooter --  who was not mentioned by name. Reviewers of the event identified two "key concerns" --  1) that medical officers had "failed to apply appropriate officership and standards of judgment with respect to the alleged perpetrator," and 2) that medical officers had "failed to include the alleged perpetrator's overall performance as an officer, rather than solely his academic performance, in his formal performance evaluations."
These are official DOD recommendations, made in response to a mass murder committed by a homegrown Islamic terrorist who shouted "Allahu Akbar!" as he gunned down his fellow Army soldiers --  a man who asked for the blessing of al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki as he prepared to carry out his attacks. Not once do they mention Islam or jihad.
Adding insult to injury, the Army declined to award Purple Hearts to the dead and wounded soldiers, as that would indicate that they were wounded by an enemy action.
Other investigations
Former FBI Director William Webster agreed in 2009 to prepare an in-depth report on how the Bureau handled information about Hasan. His review was expected to take about six months, suggesting a completion date around May 2010. That report has not yet been made public. The FBI sent an earlier secret report to the White House in November 2009.
The 2011 Senate Homeland Security Committee report found that Hasan was so well-known among investigators that one FBI agent called a DCIS colleague while watching coverage of the shootings on television to say, "You know who that is? That's our boy."
While acknowledging the difficulties posed when the subject of an investigation is a U.S. citizen, the Senate report found that the FBI and DOD "possessed sufficient information" to have detected Hasan's radicalization, but "failed both to understand and to act on it."
The Senate report focused on Hasan's Islamist extremism and pointedly noted the failure of the two previous DOD reports to do so. It recommended that the DOD "should revise its policies and training in order to confront the threat of violent Islamist extremism directly," and suggested a "comprehensive national approach to countering homegrown radicalization to violent Islamist extremism." It also faulted FBI training materials for tiptoeing around the issue of Islamist ideology, commenting that they "ignore the substance of radicalization, including what violent Islamist extremists believe and why."
The Department of Defense has refused to implement the Senate's recommendations. A letter from the DOD to the Senate Homeland Security Committee in December 2011 placed the Fort Hood killings "in the context of a broader threat of workplace violence."
Diversity über alles
A few days after the massacre, Gen. George Casey, Chief of Staff of the Army, informed NBC's Meet the Press, "As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that's worse." In case anybody had missed the point, Casey said the same thing during an interview with ABC News, "What happened at Fort Hood is a tragedy and I believe it would be a greater tragedy if diversity became a casualty here."
Gen. Casey's remarks were criticized, but they were not widely understood. The Federal and military internal security apparatus appeared, on the surface, to have suffered an obvious, catastrophic failure. However, Gen. Casey was suggesting that the system was working as intended. Thirteen soldiers had died and dozens more were wounded, but the Islamic "diversity" that Maj. Nidal Hasan represented had not "become a casualty."
The system intimidated anyone who tried to raise questions about Hasan, overlooked his frequent displays of disloyalty and sedition, ignored obvious signs that he was potentially violent, deemed harmless his communications with a top al-Qaeda leader, fast-tracked and promoted him, and ultimately enabled his act of jihad against his fellow soldiers.
For Gen. Casey, not offending Muslims was more important than the lives of his own troops. Worse, his grotesque priorities reflected those of the Administration he served.
Endless appeasement
In 2010, the Obama Administration had all references to Islam and jihad removed from the National Security Strategy Document, the central document that outlines U.S. security strategy. In late 2011, the Administration removed all references to Islam from the training programs used by Federal law enforcement and national security professionals. That decision came after Muslim Public Affairs Council president Salam al-Marayati published a not-overly-subtle threat that keeping the training policies would "undermine the relationship between law enforcement and the Muslim American community." Al-Marayati also demanded that the FBI and Justice Department apologize to Muslims.
This Administration is taking direction on national security from Islamic groups that are surrogates for the Muslim Brotherhood, which is waging civilization jihad on American institutions, traditions and freedoms. Rather than disbanding the groups for supporting terrorism, the government has made them partners in its endless appeasement of Islam.
A blizzard of apologies
For the past week, Islamic protestors have rioted in Afghanistan, following the revelation that a U.S. military library at Bagram Airfield had disposed of several copies of the Qur'an and other religious documents after finding they were being used by enemy prisoners as a secret messaging system. American officials instantly fell all over each other expressing outrage at this event. NATO commander Gen. John Allen offered his "sincere apologies" in a video aired on Afghan TV and ordered training for all 130,000 coalition troops in the country in the proper handling of religious materials. Pentagon official Peter Lavoy scurried to a Northern Virginia mosque to apologize repeatedly on behalf of the Department of Defense. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland called the event "horrific." Groveler-in-Chief Obama sent a formal letter of apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai and conveyed his deep personal remorse over the phone.
Two American soldiers were killed during the anti-American riots, but there have been no expressions of outrage from Administration officials to date regarding their deaths.
Meanwhile, the search continues for new ways to capitulate to Islamic demands. For example, our Marines in Afghanistan have orders not to spit or urinate toward Mecca.
Remember: "Islam" means "submission."

Obama, Iran in secret nuclear deal
BY: Reza Kahlili

My sources inside Iran tell me that President Obama, seeking to protect the recovering U.S. economy and bolster his chances of being re-elected in November, apparently has entered into an informal agreement with Iran that he believes will defuse the nuclear weapons crisis and keep Israel from attacking the Islamic regime.
The agreement calls for the United States to acknowledge that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, and for Iran to hand over its highly enriched uranium, which is necessary for nuclear weaponization.
Iran, for its part, though engaging Obama, has no intention of abiding by the agreement and is stepping up its nuclear enrichment program clandestinely, even as it prepares for a war it believes it can win.
When Obama took office in 2009, he threw out the Bush administration’s aggressive posture in negotiating with Iran and instead sought a new approach, one of diplomacy and friendship. He had a golden opportunity to support millions of Iranians who took to the streets over Iran’s fraudulent elections that June, but instead turned his back on freedom and democracy while believing that negotiations with the Islamic regime would yield results.
Once the protests had died down, the Iranians, after months of promises, announced that a proposed agreement by the West that limited their nuclear activity was no longer acceptable and that they had successfully enriched uranium to 20 percent, which is nine-tenths of the way to nuclear weaponization.
The Iranians have now expanded their nuclear program to the point where they not only have enough low-enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs but also have doubled their stock of highly enriched uranium of 20 percent. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently reported that Iran has added 3,000 more centrifuges to the Natanz facility, bringing the total to 9,000, and has started enriching to 20 percent at the previous secret site, the Fordow facility, which is deep within a mountain and secure against any attack. Such production could give Iran weapons-grade uranium for nuclear bombs within weeks.
Obama knows that Israel is losing patience with the lack of progress over Iran’s unabated continuation of its illicit nuclear program despite four sets of U.N. sanctions and other sanctions imposed by the U.S. and the European Union. He also knows that any confrontation between Israel and Iran will drag America into an unwanted war and therefore destabilize the American economy and harm his chances of re-election.
Iran knows that its best chance to delay any attack on its nuclear and military facilities and its best opportunity to be in a win-win situation is to once again engage Obama, believing he is weak, that Iran holds the key to his re-election and that a Republican win in November could mean direct confrontation.
As revealed in January, Obama sent a message to the Iranian leaders through three different channels. Part of it, disclosed by the Iranian officials, reflected a message by the U.S. president asking for cooperation and negotiation based on mutual interests, but more importantly, it assured Iran that America will not take any action against the Islamic regime.
Sources within Iran reveal that Khamenei, in a secret meeting with his top officials and military commanders, has issued a directive to push for a step-by-step Russian proposal to defuse the crisis in which Iran would only hand over its 20 percent enrichment stock while keeping all low-enriched uranium stock (enough for six nuclear bombs) and cooperate more with the IAEA (all the while continuing its enrichment activity). In exchange, the West would ease up on the sanctions as each step is taken.
The U.S., for its part, had to announce that Iran is not after the nuclear bomb, backing Israel into a corner and pressuring it not to take any action.
In the same meeting it was decided that if the West did not take the offer, then a limited war in the region could help the Iranian leaders further consolidate power at home, incite further uprisings in the region, become the leader of the Islamic movement by attacking Israel and still save some of its nuclear facilities, which are either at secret locations or deep underground. And that would justify their pursuit of the nuclear bomb.
The Obama administration responded positively. First, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsy, publicly announced that Iran is a rational actor and that it is not after a nuclear bomb. Then, just as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to arrive in Washington for talks with Obama over Iran’s nuclear program, the consensus of 16 U.S. intelligence agencies said Iran has already stopped efforts to build a bomb.
This despite the most recent IAEA report clearly indicating the military aspect of the Iranian nuclear program and last week’s announcement by the U.N. nuclear agency that Iran has ramped up by 50 percent its production of highly enriched uranium, well beyond what is normally needed for peaceful nuclear energy.
In response to the Americans meeting Khamenei’s demands, the Iranian supreme leader responded by publicly announcing that Iran has never sought and will never seek nuclear weapons as it regards possession of such weapons a great sin.
Other Iranian officials did their part by announcing that the cooperation with the IAEA will continue to once again show the world that claims of Iran wanting a nuclear bomb are unfounded.
In this high-stakes game, Iranian leaders believe Obama is hamstrung by politics, and even if war comes, ultimately Russia and China will intervene to support Iran, demanding a cease-fire and therefore giving Iran a victory similar to the outcome of the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war.
Though an election year, Obama must know that radicals ruling Iran, if given time, will obtain nuclear weapons, changing the world as we know it forever, no matter who is in the White House come 2013.

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred attended an Oscar viewing party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday with Ginger White, the woman who alleges she had a 13-year affair with Herman Cain.
Allred alerted media of her party plans in an email, but accidentally copied her personal distribution list instead of blind copying them, so that each recipient was visible to all others.
One of the 380 recipients did not let the faux pas pass: "Dear Gloria: Thanks for sharing your entire mailing list with your entire mailing list."
Allred's entire message is below, with email addresses removed:

Oscar Party: Attorney Gloria Allred and Ginger White to attend together
Woman Who Alleged That She Had a Thirteen-Year Affair with Presidential Hopeful Herman Cain to Walk the Red Carpet with Gloria Allred
Attorney Gloria Allred will walk the red carpet with her guest, Ginger White, at the Night of 100 Stars Oscar Party on Sunday, February 26, 2012 in the Crystal Ballroom at the Beverly Hills Hotel at 9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills,  CA, at 4:00 P.M. PST.
Ms. Allred previously represented Sharon Bialek who was the first woman to reveal her face and name and publicly allege that Herman Cain had made inappropriate sexual advances to her when she sought his assistance in obtaining employment. Ms. Bialek was verbally attacked by some of Cain's supporters after she came forward. Ms. White then decided to go public with her allegation of a thirteen year affair with Mr. Cain, because she felt that it was unfair that the credibility of Ms. Bialek and other women were being questioned and she felt that it was important that the public know the truth.
Ms. Allred invited Ms. White to be her guest at the Oscar Party in order to honor her for her courage and her willingness to support other women

Here Comes Obama's 3 AM Phone Call
By: James Lewis
Woops, I Guess It Didn't Work ?
In the next 60 days Obama's presidential career will finally meet that concrete wall of reality.  He will either fail or survive.  Trouble is, he might take many innocent people with him if he fails.
So far, the most hyped-up and unqualified president in US history has shown no capacity at all to act, in the face of a do-or-die challenge.  This is the ultimate test of character, the one that John F. Kennedy met well enough in the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.  This is the test that Jimmy Carter failed so miserably that Ronald Reagan beat him handily in the following election.  This is the same test of reality that every single Democratic Administration has tried to avoid; it's the reason why Bill Clinton refused to do anything about Osama Bin Laden when he had four separate chances to take him out.
This time, abject apologies to ranting Pakistani mobs will not make a smidgen of difference.  Even Axelrod's disinformation campaigns can't save Obama now, because that 3 am phone call is almost sure to come by April Fool's Day of 2012, when the real fool will stand revealed to the world.
On or about April 1 of 2012, that 3 AM phone call will reach the White House. We know what it will be -- which is itself a sign of stunning incompetence in this White House.  None of this information should ever be public.  Ever.
But this administration has chosen its Secretary of Defense to publicly leak the most closely guarded secret of Israel's back-against-the-wall defense against Iranian nuclear weapons.
Such public leaks amount to near treason in time of war.  Imagine if someone leaked General Eisenhower's plans for the D-Day invasion in June of 1944.  FDR would have fired them instantly, or if they were foreigners he would have felt justified to have them killed.  Hundreds of thousands of American and Allied lives were at stake on D Day.  In Israel today, hundreds of thousands of Jewish lives are at stake.  Don't expect countries fighting for their national survival to act any differently.
The Israelis have now publicly retaliated against the Panetta leak.  They have accused General Dempsey, our top general, of publicly taking the Iranian side in the confrontation. But General Dempsey is not the target. The General knows better.  The real target is his boss in the White House.
This is the moment every sane person knew had to come, ever since Jimmy Carter and Zbigniew Brzezinski knowingly allowed the radical suicide regime of Ayatollah Khomeini to overthrow the modernizing Shah of Iran.  That was the single most self-destructive decision by any American President in modern history.
Jimmy Carter empowered the first Islamic throwback regime since Kemal Ataturk modernized Turkey in the 1920s.
Since Khomeini, Islamic radicalization has only accelerated, culminating in the 9/11/01 attack on New York City. Obama's equally suicidal "Arab Spring" has now brought the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt, instead of our long-time ally Hosni Mubarak. Mubarak's predecessor Anwar Sadat was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and Obama knowingly chose to support Sadat's assassins.
So much for America's loyalty and word of honor.
Now Egypt is in economic and political despair, along with the other "Arab Spring" countries. The Saudis are ordering their own nuclear weapons, because they cannot trust the United States to protect their vital interests any more.
Obama thrives on crisis and chaos.  He is a gambler and a con artist who follows Napoleon's slogan of "audacity, audacity, always audacity."  But Napoleon met his Moscow winter and his Waterloo.  The only question is when Obama will crash into his own brick wall of reality.
April Fool's Day would be a very suitable target date for the coming Iranian nuclear crisis.  The Administration has already started to undermine Israel's case for defending itself by claiming, dontchaknow, that the Iranians are not making nukes after all. They are just making highly enriched uranium, folks. Nothing to worry about.  False alarms, all you fools!  It's just that Zionist plot again.
Obama's string puppets at J Street and other Soros fronts are bound to start anti-Israel propaganda again, aided by the New York Times and its ilk. But the Iranians just said (again!) that they are bound and determined to "wipe Israel off the map."
It will make no difference. The Israelis are sensitive to hate propaganda by the international left, except when survival is at stake.  Then they act to survive.  That used to be US policy as well, until the fantasy-ridden Democrats took over the country.  Today Obama is cutting our defense budget and reducing US nuclear weapons to the lowest level ever, even while nuclear proliferation breaks out all over the world. Good timing, BHO.
The conventional wisdom is that Israel must attack Iranian nuclear sites soon, because Ahmadinejad is moving his nuclear industry into deep mountain tunnels on an emergency basis.  Once his nuke industry is deeply bunkered it is essentially invulnerable to conventional weapons. It is the point of no return.
The conventional wisdom also claims that Israel cannot maintain a long-term bombing campaign.  Only the United States can do that.  But the US is refusing to be the cop on the block, leaving the defense of the world's biggest oil supply to ... nobody.  No one else has the power to do it.  Which is why the Saudis are nuking up.
Israel will act as in defense of its right to live.  The left will predictably turn reality upside-down, the way it always does.  They keep their brains in the darkest place they can find.  Nothing will change those facts.
The United States is the only nation with the power to knock down the Iranian threat with reasonable safety to itself and other countries.  We have done it before.  If Israel acts without our active help, the risks of great casualties on all sides will be much, much greater.  In 1973 Golda Meir came close to using Israel's own nuclear arsenal when invading tank divisions from Egypt threatened to overrun Israel's cities.  That decision was barely averted when Israeli tanks broke through the Egyptian lines.
Obama is by far the most mentally fixated president in the nuclear age.  Nobody else has come even close to having his mental blinders, not even Jimmy Carter.  Obama has little regard for human life, which is why he whipped up regional chaos in the "Arab Spring," by demanding the resignation of Egypt's Hosni Mubarak.  Obama is happy to empower radical Islamist regimes, just like Jimmy Carter.  With a solid phalanx of media liars, Obama has been able to evade responsibility for three years of solid misgovernment in foreign and domestic affairs.
But the coming crisis cannot be evaded. Obama and his propaganda media will spin and spin -- before, during, and after the coming crisis between Israel and Iran. Obama wanted above all to force Israel to retreat back to 1948 or face a nuclear Iran.  It was a choice between slow genocide and fast genocide.
It looks like Netanyahu and Ehud Barak, the left and the right of Israel's parliament, called Obama's bluff. No American president has ever allowed an international crisis to come so close to the brink.  Obama has now allowed the Middle East to deteriorate so far that he has lost control. He now owns whatever is going to happen. His fingerprints are all over it.
Around April 1, the biggest fool of the 21st century will stand revealed to the world.
After that, the American people will have to decide.

And when you understand that all of this has been deliberate - not merely 'misguided' - the damage multiplies and the perception switches from one of 'incompetence' to the reality of a determined enemy in our Oval Office. His goal is to empower the Caliphate jihadists and International Communist Union Workers' agenda at the same time. We can't remove this bastard fast enough.
 The Story:

Three years ago, President Barack Obama set forth to recast American foreign policy in an image of his own design. It was one in which the White House engaged with enemies and undercut allies, apologized for American exceptionalism, and favored the “soft power” of treaties and international organizations. This “Obama Doctrine” was tailor made to burnish America’s supposedly flagging reputation on the world stage. Today we are seeing the disastrous results of a doctrine gone wrong.
The Middle East is a logical starting point of this Obama Doctrine retrospective, a region where the President’s soaring aspirations have been mugged by the reality on the ground. Beginning in Iran, Obama sought to engage a regime led by a man who has openly called for the destruction of Israel. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was not mollified by the President’s charm offensive, and now, even in the face of escalating sanctions, Iran is ratcheting up its rhetoric, threatening to cut off a quarter of the world’s energy supply, and marching toward a nuclear weapon. The Obama Administration’s response? An admonishment of Israel for considering a strike against the murderous Iranian regime.
Syria, too, is yet another example of the Obama Doctrine failure. The President entered office hoping to engage the hostile regime of Bashar al-Assad and soft-pedaled its criticism of Assad’s violent crackdown on anti-government protesters. The result? Syria ordered the attack on the U.S. embassy in Damascus, threatened the U.S. ambassador, and to date has killed more than 7,500 Syrians who are standing against the autocratic government.
Trouble is "He Believes It"
The President’s failure to discern friend from foe in foreign affairs left it flatfooted in the Arab Spring awakening last year, as well, and that too has put America at a loss. In Egypt, the President hesitated when the people called for Hosni Mubarak’s ouster, but wound up supporting his overthrow in the end. Now, though, the Muslim Brotherhood is within inches of grasping power, the country’s peace treaty with Israel is being questioned, and pro-democracy American workers there are facing criminal trial. In Libya, the President was forced into action by European allies, withdrew as quickly as possible, and the country is seeing increased instability as its militias are being accused of war crimes. None of the above is in America’s interests.
In each instance, the Obama Administration was caught leading from behind, uncertain of the role the United States should play or how to react, instead of taking clear, assertive action to defend U.S. interests. Unfortunately, the one area where the President does display clarity is where his political interests come into play. That, too, has left American interests worse for wear.
In Afghanistan, the President has insisted on a speedy withdrawal of U.S. forces while pursuing negotiations with the Taliban — a veritable enemy that has launched lethal attacks against American troops. Neither tactic is a strategy for victory or for preventing Afghanistan from once again becoming a safe haven for terrorists. In the middle of this tinderbox, anti-American protests are flaring after the apparent burning of Korans at a U.S. military base. The President issued an apology, yet the Taliban is calling for retaliation against the United States — and that is the same Taliban which Vice President Joe Biden said ”is not our enemy.”
Iraq, too, has devolved into violence following the President’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops. It has been just over two months since the last U.S. forces left Iraq, and in that time the country has witnessed ongoing insurgent attacks, a mushrooming political crisis, and the threat of a civil war which will aid neighboring Iran.
As these international threats simmer to a boil, the President is undercutting America’s ability to defend its interests at home and abroad. Under Obama’s new budget, the military faces nearly half a trillion dollars in cuts, on top of $400 billion the President has already slashed. That does not include the half trillion in funding that will have to be cut under the debt limit agreement Congress reached last summer. Vital defense programs have been killed, next generation weapons will be delayed or eliminated, and troops will be reduced. And it’s all being done in the name of freeing up funding to pay for the President’s domestic agenda.
In the course of three years, President Obama has pursued a foreign policy that has left America less secure today and even more at risk tomorrow. A nuclear Iran, a failed Afghanistan and Iraq, an unfriendly Egypt, an Israel at risk, and an underfunded military are all serious concerns for the American people. Rather than continue pursuing the ill-advised Obama Doctrine, it is time for the President to put defending America first and appeasing our enemies last. That is a doctrine the American people can depend on.

I Finally Understand Liberals

By Johnny Alamo

After years of puzzlement and curiosity observing modern day Liberals, I think I have finally figured them out.
I'm constantly amazed that modern Liberals have evolved beyond living in caves.  I mean what other animal on this planet can disregard all common sense and logic and survive?  Scientists have recently discovered that even giant sea slugs that do not possess a brain as such can learn from past experiences.  That puts them a leg up over the current crop of liberals in this country.   I used to subscribe to the adage that liberalism was a mental disorder, but even Rainman would have a hard time buying into the standard mantra of the present day Democratic Party.

In order to believe that Democrats have the answer today, you would have to believe:
  • That you can grow the entitlement class beyond the taxpayer class and never hit critical mass where there is no money left.

  • That using the military to oust a murderous thug dictator in 2003 was criminal, and using the military to oust a murderous thug dictator in 2011 was noble.

  • That the best way to grow the wealth of the private sector is to take all the money out of it.

  • That the best way to make us energy independent is to block any effort to produce more petrocarbons in this country.

  • That the best way to create jobs is to increase taxes and regulations on the job creators.

  • That the best way to stop arms from this country from getting into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico is to provide arms to the drug cartels in Mexico.

  • That all the ills of the economy are due to the fat cat banks and other corporations, and the best way to deal with that is to provide billions in bailouts to the fat cat banks and other corporations.

  • That more unemployment checks create more jobs.

  • That investigating the background of George W Bush to the point that you have color photographs of his colon is proper vetting of the Chief Executive, but asking for Barack Hussein Obama's college records or for information on his association with a known terrorist is racist.

  • That somehow making firearms illegal will prevent criminals from using them.

  • That the life of a murderer on death row is sacred, but an unborn baby's is not.

  • That the best way to overcome our racist past is to enforce racist affirmative action policies.

  • That people who are too ignorant to get a free state issued I.D. card are smart enough to vote.

  • That the best way to overcome our current spending crisis is to spend more money.

  • That the federal government with no competition can provide a better health care product than the private sector with competition can.
  • That a grandma in a wheelchair is a bigger potential threat on an airplane than a guy with a name that takes phlegm to pronounce.

  • That we need to be sensitive to the feelings of people that subscribe to a religion that teaches that we all should submit to their version of righteousness or face beheading, but should demean and diminish those that believe in the religion that teaches we should love and embrace our neighbors no matter what religion they belong to.

  • That poll watchers who want to ensure that election laws are observed and the vote is without fraud are intimidating voters, and black radicals with clubs in front of a polling place are not.

  • That ice ages and the warming periods in between were not caused by man's influence on the earth but a half degree rise in average temperatures over 30 years is.

  • That using the equivalent of two gallons of fossil fuel to produce one gallon of ethanol makes sense because it is "renewable."

  • That a picture of a female guard in Abu Ghraib pointing at the genitals of a terrorist and laughing is deplorable but those same goofballs setting off an IED and killing our troops are just freedom fighters.

  • That a 70 year old woman with a Gadsden flag is a radical but an OWS protestor that defecates on a police car and breaks windows of businesses is a frustrated citizen.

  • That in spite of the fact that one third of the world is hungry it makes more sense to use food for fuel than drilling for a fuel source that nobody can eat.
The simple fact is that Democrats are the Dodo birds of the human race.  The Dodo was discovered by Portuguese explorers in the late 1500's.  The name comes from the Portuguese word "Doudo" which means simpleton.  They called this bird a simpleton because in their minds it lacked any common sense whatsoever.  That lack of common sense or survival instinct eventually led to its demise as a species.
Wait a minute, that's not really fair of me, I shouldn't equate Democrats to a simple minded flightless bird that was too stupid to run from predators.  The Dodo had a job foraging for food to survive.  Democrats want others to forage and give it to them.

Gas Prices Signal Tsunami of Inflation

27 February 2012 No Comment
Greg Hunter’s
A good friend of mine, who has family living abroad, called me this weekend. One of the first things out of his mouth was about his sister in London and how she was dealing with “terrible inflation.” No doubt he was talking about the spike in gasoline prices that have risen to more than $8 a gallon. (The official inflation rate in the UK is around 3.6%, but I’m sure the numbers over there are as reliable as the inflation numbers in the U.S. where fuel and food are not counted in the so-called “core” inflation.)  Part of this price spike is due to Iran cutting off crude oil shipments to the EU recently, but part of it is the fact the UK has been engaging in quantitative easing (QE), or money printing, to help its ailing economy and insolvent banks. Just in the last few weeks, it announced another $50 billion in QE. The UK is not alone as most Western countries are engaging in QE to prop up an insolvent system bloated on bad debt.
“Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon.” This famous quote from Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman really says it all about what is happening to fuel prices and inflation. The Federal Reserve is creating trillions of dollars in new currency to paper over the meltdown of 2008 and stave off a sovereign debt crisis in Europe. Oil is priced in dollars; so, of course, fuel prices are rising around the globe. An article on, last Friday, predicts oil hitting $200 a barrel in the next 5 years, but I think we will hit that mark much sooner. The post unabashedly said, “The sole reason why crude prices are surging . . . is because global liquidity has risen by $2 trillion in a few short months, on the most epic shadow liquidity tsunami launched in history in lieu of QE.” (Click here for the complete story.)
According to millionaire investor Jim Rogers, the Fed has already started its third round of QE. In an interview on Reuters, last week, Rogers said, “We already have QE3 … Get out the Federal Reserve’s balance sheet. You’ll see that they’ve been pumping up – you can see unadjusted M2 is going through the roof. Look at their balance sheet. … All sorts of assets are suddenly appearing on their balance sheet. Where did they come from? They didn’t come from the Tooth Fairy; they came because they’re in there buying in the market as fast as they can. There IS QE3 already. They don’t call it that but it’s there.” (Click here to hear Jim Rogers. This quote is at the very end of the clip.) Short term, Rogers likes the dollar, but he’s not a long term holder of the buck.
Adding to the money creation is the European sovereign debt crisis with Greece at the tip of the debt iceberg. The banks will be kept afloat at all costs instead of liquidated. According to Jim Willie of, massive amounts of new money will need to be created out of thin air to keep the Western banking system solvent. In his most recent report, Mr. Willie said, “The zinger is the recapitalization of the banking system, an urgent need and requirement, the understood impact from the imposed Greek comprehensive solution. Expect more favored treatment to the banks. However, as they are put back on solvent feet, a process only possible with vast hyper monetary inflation directed specifically at the banking pillars, the retribution from within the system will possibly be the first serious price inflation leakover. For over three years, the monetary inflation leakover has been contained, to the detriment of the economy.” (Click here to read the complete post from Nothing will signal a tsunami of inflation (caused by currency creation) faster than rising oil (and gold) prices. I think it is a lock that people around the planet will be paying much higher prices at the pump.
President Obama is saying the recent spikes in gasoline prices are not his fault and said, last week, there “are no quick fixes to this problem.” He is right about one thing, there are no quick fixes. The problem is not one of supply, but of too many dollars created to bail out Wall Street banks that should have gone into bankruptcy. Prices for regular gasoline in America are approaching $4 a gallon and, in some places, they are approaching $5 a gallon. According to a post on titled “Gasoline Prices Are Not Rising, the Dollar Is Falling,” relative to the price of gold, gasoline is cheap. The report said the average for the last 493 months has been “.0732” ounces of gold per barrel of oil. Right now, the ratio is about “.0602” ounces of gold per barrel. Are you getting this? Either gold prices have to go down or oil prices are headed higher to equal the nearly 500 month average. The report goes on to say, “At this point, we can be certain that, unless gold prices come down, gasoline prices are going to go up—by a lot. And, because the dollar is currently a floating, undefined, fiat currency, there is no inherent limit to how far the price of gold in dollars can rise, and therefore no ultimate ceiling on gasoline prices.” (Click her for the complete report.)
If there is war in the Middle East (as I expect), it will be like lighting a match in a room full of natural gas. Prices will explode for fuel and just about everything else, and talk of the so-called “recovery” will finally cease.
