Collapse Coming–Not Recovery

12 March 2012
By Greg Hunter’s
The way the latest unemployment numbers were reported by the mainstream media (MSM), you would think the Great Recession was over and the United States was solidly on the road to recovery.  The Associated Press reported the numbers by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) with a story that said, “The United States added 227,000 jobs in February, the latest display of the breadth and strength of the economic recovery. The country has put together the most impressive three months of job growth since before the Great Recession.  The unemployment rate stayed at 8.3 percent. It was the first time in six months it didn’t fall, and that was because a half-million Americans started looking for work.”  (Click here for the complete AP story.)    I don’t see how the MSM can say this one number is “the latest display of the breadth and strength of the economic recovery.”
Cyclical and structural unemployment are gripping the nation.   Certain jobs are gone forever or, at the very least, for a very long time.  Maybe that’s why millions of people have given up even looking for work. reported, just a few weeks ago, millions have stopped looking for work, and the government has stopped counting them.  The report said, “In the latest, much celebrated, unemployment report, the labor force participation rate had plummeted to 63.7%, the most rapid decline in U.S. history.  That means that under President Obama nearly 5 million Americans have fled the workforce in hopeless despair.  The trick is that when those 5 million are not counted as in the work force, they are not counted as unemployed either.  They may desperately need and want jobs.  They may be in poverty, as many undoubtedly are, with America suffering today more people in poverty than in the entire half century the Census Bureau has been counting poverty.  But they are not even counted in that 8.3% unemployment rate that Obama and his media cheerleaders were so tirelessly celebrating last week.”

A majority of Americans disapprove of the way President Barack Obama is handling the economy -- with a record number who "disapprove strongly" -- amid soaring gas prices and an uncertain fiscal future, a new Washington Post-ABC News survey out Monday found.
The  poll found that 50 percent of those surveyed strongly disapprove of Obama's economic performance -- the highest in the poll's history. A total of 59 percent gave the president negative marks on the economy.
With rising gas prices hitting Americans at the pump, 65 percent said they found Obama's handling of the issue unsatisfactory. Of that number, 52 percent were said to "disapprove strongly" and only 14 percent "approve strongly" of Obama's performance on gas prices.
However, it appeared that the responses could have been based in part on political ideology, with Democrats less likely than Republicans to say that gas prices have taken a toll on their families, the study found.
The president also fared poorly on other issues. Sixty-three percent of Americans gave him negative marks on the country's budget deficit, while just 16 percent strongly approved of his work in that area. Asked about the White House's energy policy, 48 percent disapproved with Obama's performance.
Obama's handling of foreign policy, and specifically the war in Afghanistan, was almost evenly split between those who approved and disapproved -- 46 percent approved while 47 percent disapproved.
Regarding the president's overall job performance, 50 percent said they were unhappy with Obama and 39 percent strongly disapproved of his performance, while just 28 percent strongly agreed that he was doing a good job.
Asked who they would vote for if the presidential election were held today, 47 percent said they would vote for Obama if his opponent was former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney -- but he would not be re-elected as 49 percent threw their support behind Romney.
Pitted against former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Obama received 49 percent to Santorum's 46 percent.
The telephone survey -- conducted from Wednesday to Saturday among 1,003 adults nationwide -- came as the Labor Department's employment report Friday showed that the US economy added 227,000 jobs in February, continuing an upward trend.
The survey had a margin of error of four percentage points.

What Happened to the Health-Care Law, Massive Debt?

Obama_12President Barack Obama’s energy plan involves radically increasing gas prices to the European rate of $9-10 a gallon. And he’s well on his way by more than doubling prices at the pump since entering office in January 2009, when gasoline was only $1.79 per gallon. Here’s how he schemes to double prices again in his second term, with you footing the bill. We’re all being gouged at the pumps.
And the reason for soaring gas prices?
According to President Obama, it’s not because of anything he has done: including devaluing the dollar via his disastrous economic decisions, closing federal lands for oil production opened by his predecessor, passing cap-and-trade legislation in the middle of the worst economy since the Great Depression, or refusing to stand strong against the regime in Iran, which controls 20 percent of all global oil supply via the Strait of Hormuz.
President Obama would do well to take the advice of former Sen. Obama, who said in 2006 about possible $3 a gallon gas: “The time for excuses is over.”
Last week in Part 1, I began to detail how President Obama’s dreadful economic strategies and initiatives, as well as global relations (or lack thereof), have contributed to higher gas prices – and that his administration continues to play duck-n-dodge when it comes to any mea culpas for our fuel fiasco.
To add injury to insult, President Obama has appointed some petroleum-pillaging politicians, like Secretary of the Department of Energy Stephen Chu, who, according to the Wall Street Journal, said in 2008 that in order to wean Americans off gasoline, they should punitively pay at the pump: “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”
And just two weeks ago, as reported by Politico, Chu again told Congress that Obama’s Department of Energy “isn’t working to lower gasoline prices directly,” but “is working to promote alternatives such as biofuels and electric vehicles.”
When Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., specifically asked Chu if the Obama administration’s goal was to lower gas prices, he emphatically replied, “No.” (Out of the horse’s mouth!)
But I suppose the views of Obama-appointed officials like Chu don’t have any bearing on soaring gas prices either, right?
Washington and Wall Street prognosticators are now pondering, “Will higher gas prices derail the economic recovery?”
Their answer? “Not yet.”
(That’s comforting, isn’t it?)
Just two weeks ago, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke also confessed to Congress in his semi-annual report that the job market was “far from normal” and that rising gasoline prices will likely push up inflation and reduce consumers’ purchasing power.
According to Carl Riccadonna, a senior economist at Deutsche Bank, “the rule of

Beyond Rush: Hannity, Beck, Levin Hit with Advertiser Bans BUT SOME WANT BACK AND RUSH SAY'S NO NO NO...FORGET IT ?

Editor's note here :  And now the word is that this made his show more  popular, they want to come back, and he said  "NO WAY"  LOL

By Newsmax Wires

Efforts to silence Rush Limbaugh are apparently having a significant impact on the talk radio business as a whole, including syndicated radio shows hosted by Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and
Glenn Beck.

After provocative comments made about a female Georgetown law school student, Limbaugh's show has been targeted by liberal groups that have pressured more than two dozen advertisers to drop his program from their ad buys.

Now, Rush's syndicator, Premiere Networks, is losing advertisers for other conservative programs it airs.

According to an internal Premiere memorandum obtained by, the company says 98 advertisers no longer wanted to air ad spots on any "offensive or controversial" talk programs.

Radio-Info says the list of advertisers include "carmakers (Ford, GM, Toyota), insurance companies (Allstate, Geico, Prudential, State Farm) and restaurants (McDonald’s, Subway)."

An excerpt of the Premiere memo follows:

“To all Traffic Managers: The information below applies to your Premiere Radio Networks commercial inventory. More than 350 different advertisers sponsor the programs and services provided to your station on a barter basis. Like advertisers that purchase commercials on your radio station from your sales staff, our sponsors communicate specific rotations, daypart preferences and advertising environments they prefer… They’ve specifically asked that you schedule their commercials in dayparts or programs free of content that you know are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity). Those are defined as environments likely to stir negative sentiment from a very small percentage of the listening public.”

Let the president be duly warned.
Rep. Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., has introduced a resolution declaring that should the president use offensive military force without authorization of an act of Congress, “it is the sense of Congress” that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”
Specifically, Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war, a restriction that has been sorely tested in recent years, including Obama’s authorization of military force in Libya.
In an exclusive  column, former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo claims that Jones introduced his House Concurrent Resolution 107 in response to startling recent comments from Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.
“This week it was Secretary of Defense Panetta’s declaration before the Senate Armed Services Committee that he and President Obama look not to the Congress for authorization to bomb Syria but to NATO and the United Nations,” Tancredo writes. “This led to Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., introducing an official resolution calling for impeachment should Obama take offensive action based on Panetta’s policy statement, because it would violate the Constitution.”
In response to questions from Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., over who determines the proper and legal use of the U.S. military, Panetta said, “Our goal would be to seek international permission and we would … come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress – I think those are issues we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here.”
“Well, I’m almost breathless about that,” Sessions responded, “because what I heard you say is, ‘We’re going to seek international approval, and then we’ll come and tell the Congress what we might do, and we might seek congressional approval.’ And I just want to say to you that’s a big [deal].”
Asked again what was the legal basis for U.S. military force, Panetta suggested a NATO coalition or U.N. resolution.
Sessions was dumbfounded by the answer.
“Well, I’m all for having international support, but I’m really baffled by the idea that somehow an international assembly provides a legal basis for the United States military to be deployed in combat,” Sessions said. “They can provide no legal authority. The only legal authority that’s required to deploy the United States military is of the Congress and the president and the law and the Constitution.”
The exchange itself can be seen below:
The full wording of H. Con. Res. 107, which is currently referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary, is as follows:
Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under Article I, Section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.

This gives a whole new meaning to the term; 'Dutch Courage'

The Netherlands , where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism:
The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands .

A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads:

"The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people.

In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role. With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.

The letter continues:

"A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands that from its own citizens.
It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home anymore in the Netherlands .

The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants.
For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.

The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner:

"It is not the government's job to integrate immigrants"

The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress.

More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013

Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realized, it may be too late, that creating a nation of tribes will kill the nation itself.

Muslim immigrants leave their countries of birth because of civil and political unrest"CREATED BY THE VERY NATURE OF THEIR CULTURE."

Countries like Holland and Australia have an established way of life that actually works, so why embrace the unworkable?

If Muslims do not wish to accept another culture, the answer is simple:

This gives a whole new meaning to the term; 'Dutch Courage'

Unfortunately, the USA and other countries politicians don't have the courage (YET) to do the same.

There's a whole lot of truth here!

CAIR Reps Visit 113 Congressional Offices

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/8/2012) -- This week, representatives from more than 20 chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) met with elected officials and staff at 113 congressional offices for the Washington-based Muslim civil rights organization's 6th annual Capitol Hill Advocacy Days.
CAIR chapter representatives met Monday and Tuesday with officials at 66 Democratic, one Independent and 46 Republican offices. They spoke with members of Congress and key congressional staffers from their home states about supporting due process for all Americans and about concerns over racial and religious profiling.

During the meetings, CAIR representatives asked that Congress re-examine the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 and sought support for legislation that repeals the law's indefinite detention provisions and reaffirms the due process rights of all people.

SEE: CAIR Legislative Fact Sheet on the National Defense Authorization Act
The CAIR representatives asked members of Congress to support and co-sponsor the End Racial Profiling Act of 2011. That act would prohibit and promote measures to eliminate profiling based on race, ethnicity, national origin, or religion by federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement.
Members of Congress were also urged to support a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) requesting a revision of its 2003 policy guidance on racial profiling. Critics say the current DOJ guidance remains ineffective because it includes open-ended loopholes that allow federal law enforcement agencies to profile at U.S. Borders and for reasons of national security.
CAIR has published a "Civic Participation Handbook" designed to provide best practices and step-by-step guides for everything from holding voter registration drives to making the most of a meeting with elected officials.
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

A lawsuit alleging that Planned Parenthood submitted more than 87,000 fraudulent claims – and pointing out that there could be an $11,000-plus penalty for each case – has been unveiled in a Texas dispute by attorneys representing former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson.
The case alleges the nation’s abortion industry giant submitted “repeated false, fraudulent, and ineligible claims for Medicaid reimbursements” through the Texas Women’s Health Program.
“Americans deserve to know if their hard-earned tax money is being funneled to groups that are misusing it,” said Michael J. Norton, an ADF senior counsel. “No matter where a person stands on abortion, everyone should agree that Planned Parenthood has to play by the same rules as everyone else.
“It certainly isn’t entitled to a penny of public funds, especially if it is committing Medicaid fraud,” he said.
The case was filed originally under a federal law that allows “whistleblowers” with inside information to expose fraudulent billing by government contractors. By law, the cases are filed under seal and may not be made public while state and federal governments decide whether to join the action,
The case originally was filed in 2010 and names the Houston and Southeast Texas affiliate office of the abortion business.
Johnson is the former director of the Planned Parenthood business in Bryan/College Station. She is bringing the claims against Planned Parenthood under the Federal False Claims Act and the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act.
She fled the abortion business after she was summoned to help with an abortion and watched on a monitor as the unborn child fought for his life, and then died.
The claim is that Planned Parenthood knowingly committed Medicaid fraud from 2007 to 2009 by improperly seeking reimbursements from the Texas Women’s Health Program for billings that were not legally reimbursable by that program.
Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, now called Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, according to the lawsuit, “filed at least 87,075 false, fraudulent, or ineligible claims with the Texas Women’s Health Program.” “As a result,” the ADF explained,

In the recent destruction of Commonwealth war graves in Benghazi, Libya (YouTube Video), you can see not just the desecration of graves, but attacks on crosses.

This was no "furious mob" on a "rampage," as a Daily Mail report put it. Nor was there any evidence in what they were saying that they were angry or reacting to Koran burning by the US military.

Undocumented Migrants Will Remake U.S., Mexican Activists Says

Posted by Bh

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Undocumented immigrants will remake U.S. society and politics in the coming years, a Mexican priest who advocates on behalf of Central American migrants said.

“They are becoming a hidden, silent revolution that will re-found the United States and transform it into a true democracy,” the Rev. Alejandro Solalinde told Efe at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, which is screening a documentary about the priest’s migrant shelter in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca.

U.S. authorities estimate the number of undocumented immigrants in the country at around 12 million.

The growing northbound flow of Central Americans fleeing poor economic prospects in their homelands “has demonstrated the failures” of public institutions in both Mexico and the United States, he said.

He also criticized the Catholic Church for what he described as indifference to the plight of the migrants.

Despite death threats from gangsters and harassment by authorities who would like to close the priest’s Casa del Migrante shelter in Ixtepec, Oaxaca, Solalinde said he has no fear of dying and that he has taken the legal steps “to leave everything in order” if he should be killed.

The documentary “El albergue” (The Shelter) shows Solalinde providing food, lodging and advice to Central American migrants who undertake the arduous journey across Mexico in hopes of reaching the United States and realizing the “American Dream.”

Casa del Migrante lies on key smuggling routes used by traffickers of drugs, guns and human beings, Solalinde told Efe, and the film illustrates the abuses migrants suffer at the hands of organized crime, often with the complicity of Mexican authorities.

The documentary also highlights the “double standards” of Mexico’s government, according to the film’s director, Alejandra Islas.

While Mexico demands respect for its citizens in the United States, it allows Central American migrants to be brutalized on its territory, she said.

At least 11,333 migrants, the majority of them from Central America, were kidnapped in Mexico between April and September 2010, the Mexican National Human Rights Commission said in a report released about a year ago.

An estimated 300,000 Central Americans and 400,000 Mexicans undertake the dangerous trek across Mexico each year on their way to the United States.

Gloria Allred wants Rush Limbaugh arrested

Gloria Allred  Hope's Rush Limbaugh Gets Arrested
March 10, 2012 by The Godfather
Liberal lawyer Gloria Allred wants Rush Limbaugh arrested. She may want to rethink this latest publicity stunt.
By the now the Left was sure that Rush Limbaugh would be off the air. His comments about Georgetown law Student Sandra Fluke and the list of companies that cancelled their advertising for his how had them dancing with glee. Their biggest political thorn in the flesh was going down. No such luck.
The outpouring of support for Rush Limbaugh has been overwhelming. Advertisers have been replaced. Rush has shown the utter hypocrisy of the mainstream media by pointing out the laundry list of liberal rants and verbal sexual attacks on conservative women. Even many in the media are commenting on it. For example, Kirsten Powers, a Fox News analyst, wrote “Rush Limbaugh Isn’t the Only Media Misogynist” for the Daily Beast. Here’s how she opens her article:
Did you know there is a war on women?
Yes, it’s true. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Matt Taibbi, and Ed Schultz have been waging it for years with their misogynist outbursts. There have been boycotts by people on the left who are outraged that these guys still have jobs. Oh, wait. Sorry, that never happened.
Exactly! It never happened. “But if Limbaugh’s actions demand a boycott — and they do —,” Powers wrote, “then what about the army of swine on the left? Boycotts are reserved for people on the right like Rush Limbaugh. . . .”
An example of the double standard is Gloria Allred, the Left’s premier legal attack dog. She wants Limbaugh prosecuted for calling Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute.” She wrote a letter to the Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe asking whether Limbaugh had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes.
The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. If Rush was found guilty, the maximum penalty would be one year in jail and a $1000 fine.
I would love to see this go to trial. Ms. Fluke would have to testify as to her sexual history. In doing so, it might confirm the very things Rush said about her. Witnesses would be called to testify. While I don’t know how many sexual partners Ms. Fluke has had, but just to ask the questions would prove much more embarrassing to her.
Then the issue of the liberal double standard would be brought out. There’s so much of evidence of this that we might see liberal talkers brought to trial as well. We might even see some politicians face the judge. It would be heaven. You know Rush Limbaugh would have the best high-profile lawyers defending him. It would be Oliver North and Iran-Contra all over again. The best in free entertainment.
Liberals are trying to get around the double standard accusation by claiming that the conservative women who were verbally attacked with sexual barbs were “public figures.” As soon as Ms. Fluke agreed to speak out publicly on the birth control issue, she became a public figure. She has since appeared on a number of radio and television shows.
Liberal hypocrisy runs deep. Let’s go to trial!

Obama's Policies ? American Voter: Are YOU in favor of ceding US military sovereignty, increasing the federal deficit, and $8 a gallon gasoline?

Posted by BH

By john Lillpop

Hello, America, are you awake and paying attention?
If not, now would be an excellent time to inform yourself so as to participate intelligently in the most crucial election in our nation’s history, now less than eight months away.In this, the “Information Age,” a mouse, a broadband connection, a discerning mind, and a healthy disrespect for all politicians are vital requisites for ferreting out the truth, or a reasonable facsimile thereof.
Armed with just those tools, the inquisitive soul would have been shocked to hear Obama cabinet members Panetta, Sibelius, and Chu testify before Congress this week and, in the process, trash the concept of US military sovereignty; expose the fact that contrary to promises, ObamaCare may actually increase the federal deficit, and reveal why the Department of Energy is being run by an leftwing elitist who thinks that $8 a gallon gasoline would be good for America.
To begin this sad journey, consider the remarks of Defense Secretary Leon Panetta as reported, in part:

Panetta Surrenders US Military Sovereignty:

“During the hearing yesterday Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey brazenly admitted that their authority comes not from the U.S. Constitution, but that the United States is subservient to and takes its marching orders from the United Nations and NATO, international bodies over which the American people have no democratic influence.
Panetta was asked by Senator Jeff Sessions, “We spend our time worrying about the U.N., the Arab League, NATO and too little time, in my opinion, worrying about the elected representatives of the United States. As you go forward, will you consult with the United States Congress?”
The Defense Secretary responded “You know, our goal would be to seek international permission. And we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress.”
Despite Sessions’ repeated efforts to get Panetta to acknowledge that the United States Congress is supreme to the likes of NATO and the UN, Panetta exalted the power of international bodies over the US legislative branch.
“I’m really baffled by the idea that somehow an international assembly provides a legal basis for the United States military to be deployed in combat,” Sessions said. “I don’t believe it’s close to being correct. They provide no legal authority. The only legal authority that’s required to deploy the United States military is of the Congress and the president and the law and the Constitution.”
Panetta’s assertion that he would seek “international permission” before ‘informing’ Congress about the actions of the US military provoked a firestorm of controversy, prompting the Pentagon to engage in damage control by claiming Panetta’s comments were misinterpreted.”

Sibelius Exposes Lies About Cost of ObamaCare

As reported in part:
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sibelius. She testified before a Senate committee on the new national health care law this week and, in an exchange with Senator Ron Johnson (R – Wisc.), she admitted she really has no idea if Obamacare will save us money or cost us money. Well, that’s not all she admitted, but it was the first thing. We’ll get to the other ways she stumbled through Senator Johnson’s questions, but this is a good place to start. Here is a transcript of the exchange, from the Free Beacon:
“The bottom line here is, the cost of this healthcare law is so uncertain, don’t you think we ought to put the brakes on it?” Johnson asked. “You know, Nancy Pelosi said, ‘We have to pass this law to figure out what’s in it.’ What I don’t want to see is that we have to implement it to figure out how it’s going to bust a hole in our already horribly broken budget.”
SEBELIUS: The original estimate, yes. I think that’s–
JOHNSON: Right. So, the original estimate for deficit reduction–
SEBELIUS: I’m assuming–
JOHNSON: The original estimate for deficit reduction in the first 10 years was $143 billion, correct?
JOHNSON: So now we, we’ve reduced that $143 billion by $86 billion – by not getting revenue from the CLASS Act – and now $111 billion because we’ve increased the mandatory costs of the exchanges, correct?
SEBELIUS: I’m assuming the numbers are correct. I’m sorry I don’t have them.
JOHNSON: So, when you add those together, that’s $197 billion added to the first 10-year cost estimate of Obamacare, so now we are instead of saving $143 billion, we are adding $54 billion to our deficit, correct?

Chu Reveals Why He Could Care Less About Exploding Gas Prices

As reported in part:
The big news yesterday was that Energy Secretary Steven Chu does not own a car. But his wife owns a 2002 BMW 325i, which gets 21 MPG, according to the Daily Caller. Why did Chu not get her to trade in the Beamer for a Chevy Volt?
Also, as a Cabinet secretary, he gets a security detail that drives him around in an SUV, most likely a Cadillac Escalade. We can mince around with words over whether he owns a car or not, but he is not taking public transportation, walking or riding a bicycle to get everywhere.
Craig Bannister of CNS said a senator asked Chu at a budget hearing if he owned a Chevy Volt.
Said Chu: “No, I don’t own a car at the moment.”
Why does he not own a Volt?
If as he says the Volt is such a great car — if as he says our use of oil is a bigger threat to national security than terrorism — why does Chu not own a car?
His answer indicates that he does drive. Why not lead by example?
In fact, why does the president not trade in The Beat Cadillac that he rides in for security reasons for a Chevy Volt? Could it be that this Motor Trend Car of the Year and European Car of the Year be a piece of crap that has no speed, no range and takes 10 hours to refill?
If Volts ain’t good enough for our hired help, why should we bother making Volts.”
After listening to Panetta, Sibelius, and Chu, the big questions facing voters are: Are YOU in favor of ceding US military sovereignty, increasing the federal deficit, and $8 a gallon gasoline?
Or do you still love America?
