This is great stuff. I was going to add it as an update to the previous post on this topic but it deserves its own headline. Ezra Levant hosts a show, The Source, for Canada’s Sun News. In a very well-researched presentation, he takes a comprehensive look at Obama’s idiocy over the Keystone Pipeline. Be sure to watch the whole thing and pay particular attention to the map of the alleged “pristine, environmentally sensitive area” through which the pipleline will pass. I don’t know who this guy is, but he certainly did his homework.

The Missouri county caucuses are mostly over (except in the Saint Louis and Kansas City areas).

Are you appalled at what happened at the county caucuses on Saturday? Don't just complain about it. Do something.
Were you elected as a delegate? Great!
Did you let that opportunity pass you by? Or did you let the establishment run over you? Well, you can still redeem yourself.
How? By becoming a precinct committeeman from the precinct where you vote. (In some urban areas these are known as township committeemen.)
The precinct committeeman is, in my opinion, a more powerful position than the delegate, because the committeeman is part of the party's county central committee that runs politics in the county. The central committee ran your caucus. If your caucus wasn't run fairly, you could change that next time.

ACT! for America Education Executive Director Guy Rodgers and I began discussing this project nearly four years ago. This report shines a bright light on a pattern of errors, omissions and bias in the textbooks reviewed. Our children deserve better. Our children deserve facts and accuracy, not historical revisionism.

To give you just one example of the errors our research uncovered, in discussing the 9/11 attacks, the textbooks typically fail to mention the perpetrators were Muslims or that they acted in the cause of Islamic jihad. In one book the terrorists are portrayed as people fighting for a cause. In just a few years after September 11th, the history of what happened on that tragic day was rewritten in our school textbooks. Omitting this vital information, that jihad was the motivation for the attacks, makes it difficult, if not impossible, for today’s young teens, who don’t remember 9/11, to really understand what happened that day—and why.

I'm getting really, really sick of these pundits and talking heads on the so-called "right" clucking their tongues at the unwashed masses and telling us that we're crazy and paranoid to be the least bit concerned each and every time the Obama regime takes another stride toward totalitarianism. And it is EACH AND EVERY TIME.

Let me break it down for Ed Morrissey, and all of the other pundits in that social circle so that you can get your heads around this. We are concerned and even, dare I say it, panicked, because we can see the big picture of the Obama regime for what it is. We can take the totality of the dataset and draw not just a logical, reasoned conclusion, but a conclusion that is supported by centuries - nay millenia - of past precedent. We are, as Patrick Henry put it, "willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it."

Why is the 3/16/2012 Executive Order worthy of grave concern? Simply put, because of the man and the regime who issued it. This is a man, and a regime that has done the following:

-Sent the Secretary of Defense (Leon Panetta) to Congress to put them on notice that despite the explicitness of the Constitution, the consent of the Congress to wage war will neither be solicited nor required by the Commander in Chief or his regime. The CiC and SECDEF may, if they feel like it and can find the time, MAY inform the Congress of "kinetic military actions" henceforth.

-Declared the First Amendment null and void by mandating that every American must, as a condition of legal residency in the United States, pay for abortions. Mr. Morrissey, being a Catholic, you should understand that what the Obama regime has done is demand your very soul. In order to remain corporeally "free" in the United States of America, you must enter into mortal sin, reject Jesus Christ in totality, turn your back on your Crucified Savior, excommunicate yourself from the Church, and consign your immortal soul to eternal hell. If that isn't the prohibiting of the free exercise of religion, then nothing is or ever could be.

-Committed acts of war upon the sovereign nation of Mexico and her people, willfully arming narco-terrorists with the intent of using the optics of hundreds if not thousands of brutally murdered Mexicans in order to stir up and justify the overthrow of the Second Amendment to the Constitution. This is textbook sedition.

-Has coordinated with regime cronies in the Legislative Branch to enable the Obama regime to operate for an entire term WITH NO BUDGET WHATSOEVER. In this time, the Obama regime has looted the United States Treasury and debased the currency of the United States to the tune of SEVEN TRILLION DOLLARS, or roughly one-half the gross domestic product.

This is just a very, very, very short list. Additionally, with each passing day it is being further revealed that EVERY SINGLE PERSON Barack Obama has ever associated with has been not merely a Marxist, not merely a Socialist, not merely a Communist, but a TOTALITARIAN hellbent on the destruction of the United States of America.

I'll concede the point that if this Executive Order was issued by - get this - Jimmy Carter or even Bill Clinton, I could buy the idea that it was merely an emergency protocol housekeeping item of some sort geared toward the reaction of the Federal Government after a nuclear attack. I'd be skeptical, but I would be open to the argument.

Not so now. These people are totalitarian tyrants who are no longer even trying to hide their intentions. See the bulleted items above. There comes a point where you have to pull your head out of the sand, synthesize a massive dataset into its obvious, coherent output, and be willing to know the worst, and to provide for it.

Denying the obvious, even when the obvious is horrific, is not some sort of virtue. Keeping people numb to reality and drunk on a sugary treacle of distraction and reassurance that "everything's okay" even when every iota of data and experience tells us that everything is NOT OKAY is not a virtuous public service. It is a massive failure in charity, both towards those who are misled and falsely-consoled by your assurances, and toward those whose intellects and intentions you backhandedly insult.

Remember, people exactly like Ed Morrissey and his ilk were calling everyone warning of Hitler's danger to mankind "alarmist", "conspiracy theorists" and "paranoid" up until 4:40 am on September 1, 1939 when the Luftwaffe attacked Weilun. And before that mess was over, 70 million human beings were dead. The hell that the Obama regime is determined to unleash on the world will make World War II look like a mere bar fight.

Yeah, I'm sorry I can't tell you the day, hour and minute that open war is going to break out, both overseas and here in the homeland, or the exact date, time and high-tick in the markets before the entire system implodes. There is a name for people who claim to know exact dates of future events - they're called CHARLATANS. If that failure makes me non-credible and paranoid, then I wear that sash with pride, and am consoled and flattered by the caliber of the company of Jeremiahs and Cassandras throughout history that I join. But I do know that it is coming, and that the NDRP Executive Order of 3/16/2012 is, WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE DAY AND THE REGIME THAT ISSUED IT, entirely ominous and certainly tactical.

I'll leave you with the video of Larry Grathwohl, which can never, ever be posted, spread and publicized too much. Recorded in 1980, when Barack Obama was nothing more than a drug-addled foreign student at Occidental College and not yet even a glimmer in the eye of the Totalitarians who would later adopt him as their public persona, Grathwohl recounts conversations led by Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, the founders and leaders of the Weather Underground, the Marxist-Communist-Totalitarian terrorist group that Grathwohl was tasked to infiltrate, and the eventual intimates, ghostwriter and political handlers of Barack and Michelle Obama. The Totalitarian cabal that runs the Obama regime has intended, for decades, to collapse the United States, overthrow it, establish a Totalitarian oligarchy, and as a necessary corollary to that, murder at least ten percent of the population as "die-hard, unreformable capitalists." In 1980, that 10% worked out to 25 million human beings. Today, it would be 31 million - but heck, what's another Holocaust (6 million) give or take?

Today, you are either Churchill or you are Chamberlain.

n 1969 Weather Underground founders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn (who were to become Pres. Obama's personal friends and associates for many years) put Charles Manson on the cover of their occasional newspaper, "Fire". At what was billed as a "War Council" in Flint Michigan that same year, Ayers and his comrades took to greeting eachother with "the fork" - three fingers pointed upwards, in honor of Manson. (Google Dohrn's Flint conference quote on Manson - and Sharon Tate, who was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time.) In 1972 Ayers dedicated the WU's manifesto, "Prairie Fire", to his cultural and political heroes -- a list which included Sen. Robert Kennedy's assassin, Sirhan Sirhan.

Throughout their career as terrorist bombers, Ayers and Dohrn were constantly trying to break the Left free of its "bourgeois" commitment to any standard of justice or decency. By adopting Charles Manson as their own, by praising Manson as a hero of the counterculture, they hoped to smash the Left's "bourgeois" ties to civilization and thus spark similar acts of horrific "revolutionary" violence against innocent people.

Over 400 people attended that Flint conference. Can't help but wonder what positions they have now, unknown to anyone but each other...

With both President Obama and his chief strategist David Axelrod attacking Newt’s $2.50 gas plan this weekend, it is worthwhile to take a look at who is really trying to sell the American people “snake oil.”

President Obama has been traveling the country making demonstrably false excuses for his failures on energy policy. To borrow a line from White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, “I won’t attribute motivations…I’ll just say that anybody who says these things doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”

“WE’RE DRILLING ALL OVER”

FALSE:

“Do not tell me that we’re not drilling.  We’re drilling all over this country.  I guess there are a few spots where we’re not drilling.  We’re not drilling in the National Mall.  We’re not drilling at your house.  I guess we could try to have, like, 200 oil rigs in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.” (March 15, 2012, Prince George’s Community College.)

TRUE:

President Obama has blocked drilling in offshore areas totaling more than 10 times the size of Texas. He has stalled progress on an estimated one trillion barrels of oil in the American West, where the federal government owns the majority of the world’s oil shale. These off-limits supplies alone give the United States some of the largest oil reserves in the world. And no one proposes drilling in the Chesapeake Bay.

Friends, We're now learning that in May 2010, the main suspect from Operation Fast and Furious - Manuel Fabian Celis-Acosta - was stopped near the Arizona/Mexico border with 74 rounds of ammunition and 9 cell phones. Seems like that would be a good catch, right? Think again. Celis-Acosta was questioned that day, and then let go after a promise to "keep in touch" and cooperate. You can probably guess what happened next... It wasn't until 9 months later in February 2011, a month after Fast and Furious was shut down, that he was finally arrested. That was after the death of Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry, and countless others who have lost their lives in Mexico. How much more will be uncovered before someone is finally held accountable? -Paul

Every drunken exploit of the Bush daughters was covered 24/7 when he was Prez, and Rick Santorum’s kids are already getting attacked by several comedians.  But the Obama girls?  Well, a story about Malia Obama’s spring break trip to Oaxaca, Mexico with 25 Secret Service agents was erased from all the mainstream media websites.  Hmmm . . . working overtime to meet the Obama edicts about not covering his daughter, apparently.  I was away at a movie screening and other duties, and when I returned and clicked on various links to the story from the Drudge Report and Google News, I got nothing, nada.  The story’s been yanked.  No note that it isn’t true.  Just gone.

Vladimir Putin made a lot of promises to voters in his recent run to reemerge as the President of the Russian Federation — about $160 billion worth of promises, to be more precise. Among them:

* He promised to increase Russia’s military budget by $787 billion to make the Red Army a far more advanced and aggressive fighting force.

* He promised to pay parents an $8,300 bonus for having a third child (given that Russians are having so few children that their population is steadily contracting and the Russian civilization is dying off).

* He also promised to increase pay for teachers, doctors and retirees.

* He also wants to build a “Eurasian Union,” a political/military/economic alliance – possibly with a common currency — with Belarus, Kazakhstan, and other Muslim former Soviet Republics to become a regional (and possibly global) powerhouse, possibly by 2015, or even as soon as 2013.

The problem is the Kremlin can’t possibly pay for all these promises unless the price of oil averages $150 a barrel, and oil prices have never consistently stayed that high and currently are averaging about $120 a barrel.

Another, more ominous possibility, is that Putin is going to find a way to significantly drive up the price of oil, perhaps by fomenting turmoil in the Middle East.

The origin of the Royal gift of Shamrock dates back to the Regiment's first St Patrick's day in 1901. Subject: The Old Breed, Letter to the Editor

After months in the “bush” as a young Marine infantry officer in Vietnam, I had the opportunity to attend the legendary festivities at the U.S. Air Force’s “Gunfighters Club” at the airstrip in Da Nang.  Cold beer, “round-eyed” entertainers!  For a recently wounded Marine this could be “Heaven,” and a touch of home.

As I entered the Gunfighter’s complex I was approached by an Air Force Staff - NCO who demanded that I surrender my weapons.  This meant my combat knife, my K-Bar (I had two), my M-16 with multiple magazines, .45 cal pistol (I had two with multiple magazines), and a half dozen fragmentation hand-grenades.

I listened to the music and the sounds of home coming from the interior of the club, and offered the Air Force Staff-NCO the following option.  I pulled the pin from one of my frag grenades, handed him the pin, ejected the magazine from one of my .45 cal pistols, and holding the pistol in one hand and the magazine in the other asked him the following question…. Do you want my weapons sergeant, or do you want to live? 

That was my generation.  Today, I hear that a limp wrist Sec of Defense (Leon Panetta) ordered Marines to disarm before he gave a speech to a bunch of “diplomats” in Afghanistan.  My question to this disgrace to America would have been ….  Mr. Secretary, “do you want my weapons, or do you want to live?”

Many people may be voting for Mitt Romney because of the view in some quarters that he is the inevitable Republican candidate for president of the United States and the candidate with the best chance of beating Barack Obama, rather than because they actually prefer Romney to the other candidates.

Inevitability has a very unreliable track record. Within living memory, totalitarianism was considered to be "the wave of the future." During the primary season, people should vote for whomever they prefer, on their own merits, not because pundits have pronounced them inevitable.

Regardless of what the polls or the pundits say about Mitt Romney's chances of winning the Republican nomination, the conditions that made him the front-runner in the primaries are the direct opposite of the conditions for the general election.

The biggest single reason why Gov. Romney is the front-runner is that he has had the overwhelming advantage in money spent and in "boots on the ground" running his campaign in states across the country.

Romney has outspent each of his rivals — and all of his rivals put together. His campaign organization has been operating for years, and it has put his name on the ballot everywhere, while neither Santorum nor Gingrich had a big enough organization to get on the ballot in an important state like Virginia.

In the general election, President Obama will have all the advantages against Romney that Romney currently has against his Republican rivals. Barack Obama will have boots on the ground everywhere — not just members of the Democratic Party organization but thousands of labor union members as well.

Incumbency alone guarantees the president plenty of money to finance his campaign, not only from enthusiastic supporters but also from businesses regulated by the government, who know that holders of political power demand tribute. And the mainstream media will give Obama more publicity than Romney can buy.

How does anyone ever defeat a sitting president then? They do it because they have a message that rings and resonates. The last Republican to defeat a sitting president was Ronald Reagan. He was the only Republican to do so in the 20th century.

He didn't do it with polls. At one point during the election campaign, President Jimmy Carter led Reagan with 58% to 40% in the polls. So much for the polls that so many are relying on so heavily today.

The question is not which Republican looks better against Barack Obama in the polls today, before the general election campaign begins. The question is which Republican can take the fight to Barack Obama, as Reagan took the fight to Carter, and win the poll that ultimately matters, the vote on Election Day.

The biggest fighting issue for Republicans is ObamaCare. Can the author of RomneyCare as governor of Massachusetts make that an effective issue by splitting hairs over state vs. federal mandates? Can a man who has been defensive about his own wealth fight off the standard class warfare of Barack Obama, who can push all the demagogic buttons against Mitt Romney as one of the one-percenters?

Rick Santorum, and especially Newt Gingrich, are fighters — and this election is going to be a fight to the finish, with the fate of this country in the balance. Mitt Romney has depended on massive character assassination advertising campaigns to undermine his rivals. That will not work against Barack Obama.

Even a truthful account of the Obama administration's many disastrous failures, at home and abroad, will be automatically countered by the mainstream media, 90% of whom voted for Obama in the 2008 election.

It is truer in this election than in most that "it takes a candidate to beat a candidate." And that candidate has to offer both himself and his vision. Massive ad campaigns against rivals is not a vision.

Some, like the first President Bush, disdained "the vision thing" — and he lost the presidency that he had inherited from Ronald Reagan, lost it to a virtual unknown from Arkansas.

The vision matters, more than the polls and even more than incumbency in the White House.

Have you heard that Malia Obama, the president’s daughter, is reportedly spending her spring break in Oaxaca, Mexico? Allegedly, she’s jetting off with some of her classmates and 25 Secret Service agents to a country that the State Department has said all Americans should avoid. But something is different about the latest “Obama vacation controversy:” references to it are disappearing from the Internet — and fast.

Around 3:00 EST, a Telegraph story reporting on the event was the first to vanish (note how the url remains the same in the “before” and “after”):
