According to Sen. Rand Paul, the U.N. “Small Arms Treaty” will almost surely mandate tougher licensing requirements to own a gun, require the confiscation and destruction of unauthorized civilian firearms, call for a ban on the trade, sale and private ownership of semi-automatic weapons, and create an international gun registry.
No more Colt .45s in the top drawer or M-1 rifles in the closet.

A fifty year old man, race undisclosed, is on life support after a near fatal beating. Police have arrested two black teens. The attack occurred near the community where the Trayvon Martin self-defense shooting took place.
The victim is from Winter Springs, which is 88% white. The victim was attacked in nearby Midway, which is 94% black. Both communities are within about a six-mile radius of Sanford.

President Obama’s illegal-alien uncle will be required to report to local immigration offices next week to discuss arrangements for his removal from the country, a source told the Herald.
The source, who requested anonymity, said Onyango Obama, 67, “will be required to report next week to Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Burlington to discuss, with immigration, arrangements to effectuate his departure from the U.S.”
But those arrangements will not take effect immediately, the source said. “He’s not going to be deported next week,” the source said.
In a statement, ICE officials confirmed today they are pursuing Obama’s deportation.
“Now that Mr. Onyango’s criminal case has completed, ICE has communicated, in accordance with standard procedure, with the attorney of record regarding his removal pursuant to a previous final order by an immigration judge,” agency spokesman Brian P. Hale said.
Obama, a Kenyan national who has been living in the United States since 1963, was ordered deported in 1992 but remained stateside. He lived quietly in Framingham for years until an August arrest for drunken driving unearthed his immigration status. Last week, he admitted in court that police had enough evidence to secure a conviction.
He lost his license for 45 days, but the Registry of Motor Vehicles yesterday granted him a hardship license that allows him to drive from noon to midnight. The license was granted to help him get to his job as a liquor store manager in Framingham and North Grafton, but he may legally drive for other purposes as well, a registry spokeswoman said.
Obama’s local attorney said last week he is due for an immigration hearing in May.
Obama’s immigration lawyer, Margaret Wong — who successfully represented his sister, Zeituni Onyango, in her quest for asylum in 2010 — could not be reached immediately.

Following President Barack Obama’s oddly veiled and dictatorial threat against the United States Supreme Court, a federal appeals court is demanding the Obama Department of Justice answer a request over whether or not the Obama administration has even the most basic understanding of American government and judiciary review.
From a just released CBS New report:
…The order, by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, appears to be in direct response to the president’s comments yesterday about the Supreme Court’s review of the health care law. Mr. Obama all but threw down the gauntlet with the justices, saying he was “confident” the Court would not “take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”
Overturning a law of course would not be unprecedented — since the Supreme Court since 1803 has asserted the power to strike down laws it interprets as unconstitutional. The three-judge appellate court appears to be asking the administration to admit that basic premise — despite the president’s remarks that implied the contrary.
…Smith then became “very stern,” the source said, telling the lawyers arguing the case it was not clear to “many of us” whether the president believes such a right exists.
It would appear Barack Obama’s much heralded 2008 description of being a “Constitutional scholar” is facing a rather strong challenge from those who have actually read the Constitution – a reading that it seems Obama never quite made time for before or since becoming President of the United States.

In its quest to implement stealth amnesty, the Obama Administration is working behind the scenes to halt the deportation of certain illegal immigrants by granting them “unlawful presence waivers.”
The new measure would apply to illegal aliens who are relatives of American citizens. Here is how it would work, according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announcement posted in today’s Federal Register, the daily journal of the U.S. government; the agency will grant “unlawful presence waivers” to illegal aliens who can prove they have a relative that’s a U.S. citizen.
Currently such aliens must return to their native country and request a waiver of inadmissibility in an existing overseas immigrant visa process. In other words, they must enter the U.S. legally as thousands of foreigners do on a yearly basis. Besides the obvious security issues, changing this would be like rewarding bad behavior in a child. It doesn’t make sense.
But the system often causes U.S. citizens to be separated for extended periods from their immediate relatives,” according to the DHS. The proposed changes, first announced in January, will significantly reduce the length of time U.S. citizens are separated from their loved ones while required to remain outside the United States during the current visa processing system.
The administration also claims that relaxing the rule will also “create efficiencies for both the U.S. government and most applicants.” How exactly is not listed in the Federal Register announcement, which gives the public 60 days to comment. That’s only a formality since the DHS has indicated that the change is pretty much a done deal.
And the lawless regime rolls on.

Karl Rove has publicly attacked everybody except Romney, and Bush 41 instantly came out for Mitt as soon as every other candidate was reduced to a smoking, charred hulk.
I personally like George 41 and 43 compared to the Gang from Chicago. Obama is a Eurosocialist surrender donkey, which is very bad in the age of unstoppable nuclear proliferation and Eurosocialism. With a smiling face, add a billion people regressing to the 7th century in the House of Islam, and the danger is easy to see.

Armed Islamist rebel groups in Syria supported by the Obama administration and Western governments seeking to oust “President” Bashir al-Assad are engaged in “ethnic cleansing” of Christians, according to news reports and human rights organizations. And as the conflict escalates, the persecution of the once-protected Christian minority is growing as well. The Syrian Orthodox Church, which represents over half of Syrian Christians, issued a statement saying revolutionary fighters had expelled some 50,000 Christians from the embattled city of Homs. That figure is estimated to account for about 90 percent of the Christian community there. Hundreds more — including women and children — were slaughtered, according to charitable organizations operating in the area.
The Orthodox Church referred to the persecution as the "ongoing ethnic cleansing of Christians" by Muslim militants linked to al Qaeda. According to its report, the so-called “Brigade Faruq” is largely to blame, with Islamic extremists going door to door and forcing followers of Christ to leave without even collecting their belongings. Their property is then stolen by rebels as "war-booty from the Christians."
Christians in Homs were reportedly told that if they did not leave immediately, they would be shot. Then, pictures of their bodies would be sent to the pro-Syrian-regime-change Al Jazeera — a media broadcaster controlled by the dictatorship ruling Qatar — with a message claiming that forces loyal to Assad had murdered them.
"Christians are being forced to flee the city to the safety of government-controlled areas,” noted a spokesman for the Christian relief agency Barnabas Fund, which reported that over 200 Christians had been murdered by insurgents. “Muslim rebel fighters and their families are taking over their homes."
Other reports noted that Christians were being kidnapped by rebels for use as human shields. "Some Christians who tried to escape a week ago were stopped from leaving by the rebels and were instead forced to go to a mosque to act as shields," a Syrian priest from Hamidiya was

As long as the people remained largely disengaged, the potential damage to society as a whole and to the financial health of the country was unknown to the vast majority of the population.
Over the past three years, this indifference has begun to change as the reality of the nation's future and the motives and tactics of those on the left have come into focus. But that reality has come to the fore solely as the result of the aggressive implementation of left-wing policies by the current administration combined with a two-year Democrat supermajority in Congress which allowed the progressives to pursue their vision of America unopposed and unencumbered.

An RMV spokeswoman told the Boston Heraldthat Onyango Obama, 67, “met all of the criteria” for a hardship driver’s license that allows him to drive in Massachusetts from noon to midnight. The elder Mr. Obama lost his regular license for 45 days in court last week but convinced a hearing officer that being unable to drive would pose an undue hardship for him in his job as a liquor store manager.
The half brother of the president’s late father admitted last week to the facts of the drunken-driving charge without pleading guilty, meaning the charge will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for a year. He was arrested in Framingham in August with a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent, well above the state’s threshold of 0.08 percent.
The senior Mr. Obama, a native of Kenya, also is appealing a deportation order from 1992, when he failed to renew his application to remain in the United States.

‘And because it’s a world market, the fact that we’re doing more here in the United States doesn’t necessarily help us because even US oil companies, they’re selling that oil on a worldwide market. “They’re not keeping it just for us. And that means that if there’s rising demand around the world then the prices are going to up.”
If you think that inane statement (yes, prices may go up, but much less if we produce more oil at home) is coming from a college student still grappling with the law of supply and demand, you’d be wrong.
It’s President Obama, as he veered off his teleprompter last Thursday to attack oil companies in order to make the case that he has done all he can to keep gas prices from rising.
Forget that class warfare has been a favorite Obama theme or that he’s calling for more taxes on oil companies as the price of gasoline is rising to $5 a gallon and threatening the nation’s weak economic recovery. Also forget that this is a well-educated man whose language, at least, suggests that he skipped elementary econ on his way to a Harvard law degree.
The question that has both captivated and scared many business leaders over the last three years of Obama’s first term is why he displays such a tin ear for free markets — either by ignoring them as a way to promote economic growth or by mischaracterizing them as a way to achieve his big-government agenda. The answer, at least according to business leaders who voted for the president back in 2008 and have worked with his economic team since, should give anyone pause who thinks a second Obama term would be good for the US economy.
It comes down to resumé. This president, with his years in academia and community organizing, has a thin one when it comes to the economy, and the people who advise him on economic matters aren’t much better. As one top business executive who deals with Obama’s economic team put it recently: “When I ask my business community friends who are Democrats, ‘How can you vote for someone you would never hire?’ they just shrug their shoulders. As far as the people who work for the president, dealing with his economic team is like dealing with college students. Their level of naivete is off the charts.” The Obama paradox is that he gave just the opposite impression to so many business leaders who supported him back in 2008. They may have ignored everything from his very liberal voting record as US senator to his associations with various players of the far left. But that’s only because, at least in private meetings, candidate Obama seemed so level-headed when it came to the economy as the 2008 financial collapse loomed. Blackrock CEO Larry Fink assured me before Obama became president that Obama was “a moderate,” and Fink wasn’t alone in this belief among the nation’s top business leaders. That’s because, on the 2008 campaign trail, Obama didn’t preach to them the class warfare that, three years later, has made many of his business supporters into critics. There was little mention of a vast expansion of government through the health-care mandate or the taxes to be levied against small businesses and wealth creators. What Obama preached, instead, was moderation, saying there’d be no broader agenda before Americans got back to work.
We know how that turned out.
Many on the right would tell you that Obama hoodwinked the business community to gain its support. Maybe. But consider (and this is coming from people who voted for Obama): Outside community organizing, Obama has little if any real world experience. As a law-school professor, he was an academic who never had to meet a payroll. As a legislator, he never had to balance a budget or deal with business. This president doesn’t know any better, and as a result, in office, his economic advice came from the people he trusted. Such economically experienced moderates as Bill Daley and Larry Summers were shown the door, while liberal Chicago lawyer Valerie Jarrett *(Chicago Slum Lord -- http://www.brayincandy.com/id168.html)
has had his ear on many pressing economic issues.
So maybe Obama really is an economic moderate who leans on trusted left-wing advisers, as presidents often do to walk him through difficult matters. Or maybe he’s an ideologue looking to remake the country’s economy to resemble Europe’s. Or maybe he’s a combination.
Anyway you look at it, the big losers are the American people.

Few voters choose a president for his views on foreign policy, which is regarded as work best left to credulous wonks, artless dips and naïve double-domes. It’s work in a place where real people don’t want to go.
Voters make occasional exceptions. George McGovern, who promised to “crawl on my knees” to Hanoi to end the Vietnam war, and Jimmy Carter, who bungled an attempt to rescue the American hostages in Tehran and left eight American soldiers dead in the desert, paid for their reckless goofiness as soon as the voters got a chance to bury them under landslides.Barack Obama may soon join them in that pantheon to the gods of presidential screw-ups. He sent a message to Vladimir Putin begging for “space” with an implied promise to trash American missile defense later, after he achieves “flexibility” with the November election. That sounds like a promise to crawl on his knees to Moscow. Mr. Obama knows how to crawl. He earlier crawled to Cairo to deliver an apology for America being America, and offering something that sounded like a promise to make the Middle East safe for radical Islam.
“On all these issues, but particularly defense,” the president said in the confidential assurance to be relayed to Mr. Putin late last month in Seoul, “this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space. . . This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”
Mr. Obama put his flacks and underlings in full panic mode, to explain that he hadn’t said what he said. He even tried to make a joke of it. Most Americans, unsophisticated rubes and uneducated rustics as we may seem to Mr. Obama’s wonks and wise men, never laugh at the idea of short-changing the land we love. The president would understand this if he understood America.
When Mitt Romney pounced, demanding to know what concessions the president has in mind after the election for “our number one geopolitical foe,” the president dispatched Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden to sweep up the broken glass. Who better than Hillary, who has more experience than anyone else listening to presidents caught with their mikes open (or their pants down). She told Mr. Romney to be “more realistic” about the Russians. “I think it’s somewhat dated to be looking backwards instead of being realistic about where we agree, where we don’t agree.”
This sounds like something she heard from Bubba, ‘splainin’ smaller and more colorful sins in the White House. Good ol’ Joe Biden, roused from his nap in the attic, reminded Mitt Romney and the Republicans that the Cold War is over, that “this is not 1956. We have disagreements with Russia, but they’re united with us on Iran.”
If the Russians are our allies, we don’t need adversaries. If Hillary and ol’ Joe are telling it like they really think it is, we’ve got all the short attention spans Washington can accommodate. Down the memory hole go the Russian obstacles to sanctions on Iran that would really bite, Russian completion of the Iranian nuclear reactor at Bushehr, shipment of Russian arms to Bashar Assad enabling him to slaughter Syrians, and the determined destruction of democracy within Russia.
Hillary, who not so long ago asked of the Russians, “whose side are they on?,” knows better than to believe most of the stuff she has to say. If a diplomat is someone paid to tell lies for his country, as the old diplomatic saying goes, a secretary of state is paid to tell the president’s whoppers.
The concession Vladimir Putin really wants – the concession that President Obama thinks must wait until after the November election – is the dismantling of the nuclear missile shield. Ronald Reagan offered the Russians participation in the defensive shield decades ago, but got no taker. Moscow wants a legally binding pledge, whatever that could be, that the United States would never target Russia. Moscow would share control of the American shield.
This may be the concession that Barack Obama has in mind for after the election. Nobody but the president knows, and he only talks to the Russians about it. He knows better than to tell us about it now. Survival is foreign policy so simple that rubes, rustics and even cave men can understand it. This is the gift of gaffe that will keep on giving.

The experts who supported the removal of President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, e.g., The New York Times' Tom Friedman and many others, are perhaps now wondering if they were right to do so.
Hosni Mubarak was certainly an authoritarian ruler. His government brooked little or no dissent; there was no competing party at the polls; and the judiciary was beholden to Mubarak's government.
At the same time, Mubarak was a loyal friend of the United States, a guarantor of the rights of minority Egyptians such as Coptic Christians, and a protector of the peace agreement negotiated by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin under the auspices of President Jimmy Carter at Camp David.
In the election following the peaceful revolt started in Tahrir Square, the Muslim Brotherhood — the ideological forbearer of al-Qaeda -- won the largest block of seats, and according to The New York Times of April 1, "The Brotherhood, an Islamist group outlawed under Mr. Mubarak, already dominates the Parliament and the assembly writing a new Constitution."
The Muslim Brotherhood had announced it would not nominate a candidate to become Egypt's first president since Mubarak. However, it has now nominated "its chief strategist and financier Khairat el-Shater on Saturday as its candidate to become Egypt's first president since Hosni Mubarak, breaking a pledge not to seek the top office and a monopoly on power." The Times article went on, "His candidacy is likely to unnerve the West and has already outraged Egyptian liberals who wonder what other pledges of moderation the Brotherhood may abandon."
The question facing American liberals who supported Mubarak's ouster is, does it make sense for us to recognize and support the Muslim Brotherhood and is it in our national interest to do so? Adolf Hitler was lawfully installed as Chancellor of Germany, even though his party never received a majority of the votes. The Muslim Brotherhood and its political arm now dominate the Egyptian Parliament, as the Nazi Party came to dominate the German Reichstag. Should we in such situations look for opposition parties or individuals to support who are closer to our political philosophy?
A similar problem exists in Turkey. The party in power there is the Justice and Development Party, an Islamist party. The founder of modern Turkey, Kemal Ataturk — father of the Turks — specifically gave to the armed forces of Turkey the role of protector of Turkey's secularity. The United States and particularly the European Union, constantly made clear they wanted that power removed from the armed forces which had since the death of Ataturk intervened several times in deposing a civilian government when it became Islamist and threatened Turkey's secularity. The European Union made it clear that, unless Turkey removed those obligations and power from the Turkish Army, Turkey would not be admitted to the E.U. Turkey's civilian government not long ago arrested hundreds of army officers and some were put on trial as is the case currently involving the former Turkish army chief General Ilker Basbug.
Should we have supported the army command's efforts at retaining their constitutional mandate? Our failure to do so has paved the way to mass arrests of army officers and decimation of their ranks by the Islamist government. Now we have an Islamist government in Turkey that seeks to become a Muslim superpower in the Middle East and is doing so by threatening war with Israel. Turkey has threatened to break the Gaza blockade imposed by Israel intended to prevent arms from pouring into Gaza by sea.
Do the American liberals who applauded Turkey's removal of military officers who sought to keep Turkey secular still believe they were right? The questions I raise are not easy to answer. I have never touted myself as a Middle East expert, but it has become crystal clear that a great number of the experts who recently waxed almost lyrical in support of the Arab Spring have much to answer for

This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?
Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia .... You didn't show Great Britain , our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia .. How dare you, sir! How dare you!
You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey ...... You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you? I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.
You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.
What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now?
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.
I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

An investigative “Cold Case Posse” launched six months ago by “America’s toughest sheriff” – Joe Arpaio of Arizona’s Maricopa County – has concluded there is probable cause that the document released by the White House last year as President Obama’s birth certificate is a computer-generated forgery.
The investigative team has asked Arpaio, who is at a news conference in Phoenix live-streamed by WND TV that began at 3 p.m. Eastern time, to elevate the investigation to a criminal probe that will make available the resources of his Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The posse says it has identified at least one person of interest in the alleged forgery of Obama’s birth certificate.
Arapaio, known for his strict enforcement of immigration laws, commissioned the investigative team after local citizens presented him with a petition expressing concern that Obama might not be eligible for Arizona’s presidential ballot.
The posse, comprised of former law enforcement officers and lawyers with law enforcement experience, has interviewed dozens of witnesses and examined hundreds of documents. It also has taken numerous sworn statements from witnesses around the world.
Mike Zullo, Arpaio’s lead investigator, said his team believes the Hawaii Department of Health has engaged in a systematic effort to hide from public inspection any original 1961 birth records it may have in its possession.
“Officers of the Hawaii Department of Health and various elected Hawaiian public officials may have intentionally obscured 1961 birth records and procedures to avoid having to release to public inspection and to the examination of court-authorized forensic examiners any original Obama 1961 birth records the Hawaii Department of Health may or may not have,” Zullo said.
The investigators say the evidence contained in the computer-generated PDF file released by the White House as well as important deficiencies in the Hawaii process of certifying the long-form birth certificate establish probable cause that a forgery has been committed.

MOSCOW SKYSCRAPER BURNING BREAKING NEWS

A massive fire that engulfed Moscow’s Federation Tower for hours has been put out. Firefighters struggled to tackle the flames in a 300-square meter area of the under-construction skyscraper set to become Europe's tallest upon completion.
The fire broke on the building's 67th floor (250 meters above the ground) and spread to several sections on the 66th and 65th floors.
Fourteen people working on the floors hit by the blaze were evacuated. Authorities have expanded a cordoned-off area surrounding the building due to fears the burning floors could collapse. Fortunately, there were no reports of deaths or injuries in the incident.
The top floor was nearly completely ablaze, with the fire smoothing out and then bursting again. The wind in lower floors facilitated the fire’s expansion. The huge image boards on the skyscraper’s walls were ignited and threatened neighboring buildings.
The blaze could be seen from as far as ten kilometers away. Witnesses say it resembles a "fiery crown on top of the building.”
Alarmed by the fire’s extent, Russia’s Emergencies Ministry sent two KA-226 helicopters to the scene. Twenty brigades of firemen are using hoses – before, they were using fire extinguishers. The blaze, which is reported to have started as trash and canvas catching fire, was ranked four out of five grades in terms of difficulty.
The fire’s source may have been a fan used for heating asphalt bitumen that was left unwatched, an anonymous source told Interfax.
Although the building is still under construction, some offices located in the first ten floors are already in use. There are also functioning offices in the 29th floor.
There are also reports that many of the affected floors were intended to house luxury apartments.
The tower has been insured for 300 million dollars, though there have not yet been any estimates as to how much the repairs will cost.
The Federation Tower has been under construction for almost ten years now. Located in the west of Moscow, it was planned as part of Moscow City business center. Once complete, it is set to become Europe's tallest building, reaching 509 meters including the antenna.
The building will consist of two three-sided towers called “East” (243 meters high) and “West” (360 meters). The "East" part is the one that is currently on fire.
In April 2011, a construction watchdog ordered the suspension of work on the tower and revoked the contractor's license, after a number of technical and fire safety violations were detected.
The contractor, Mirax Group owned by businessman Sergey Polonsky, claimed that the Moscow authorities are inventing a pretext to take over the company’s projects. Without a license, Mirax will not be able to obtain a bank loan and the construction process will be frozen. The problem was later solved.

Supreme Court: Strip searches, even for minor offenses YOU HEAR ME GRAND-MA ?
Siding with security needs over privacy rights, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that jailers may subject people arrested for minor offenses to invasive strip searches.
By a 5-4 vote, the court rejected a challenge from a New Jersey man who argued it's unconstitutional to force everyone to strip down for inspection. Albert Florence was arrested by a state trooper because of an error in the state's records that mistakenly said he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for an unpaid fine. Even if the warrant had been valid, failure to pay a fine is not a crime in New Jersey.
Florence was held for a week in two different jails before the charges were dropped. But at each jail, he was required to shower with delousing soap and undergo a strip search.
Florence's lawyers argued such seaches are unconstitutional unless police have reason to believe the subject is carrying a weapon or drugs.
But the court's majority said it's difficult for jail officials to know who's dangerous and who isn't among the 13 million prisoners they process each year because criminal records are often not available at the time of intake. The majority opinion was written by Justice Anthony Kennedy.
The court also noted that Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, was initially arrested for not having a license plate on his car and that one of the 9/11 terrorists was stopped and ticketed for speeding just two days before hijacking Flight 93. "People detained for minor offenses can turn out to be the most devious and dangerous criminals," the court said.
