In his recent effort to court the mythical “Hispanic” vote and move presidential hopeful Mitch Romney to the center, Florida Senator Marco Rubio shows that republicans can play the politics of ethnic division (aka “the race card”) as mindlessly as any democrat.

 

Washington insider news source the National Journal reports that Rubio, who once supported Arizona ’s SB1070, has now taken aim at  the nation’s most successful law employed to discourage illegal entry and to encourage those already unlawfully here to make a run for the border, or perhaps to greener pastures in California and New York .

 

Rubio seems to think: If republicans become more like democrats and denounce SB1070, (maybe…somehow) more “Hispanics” will vote for them.

 

Rubio’s premise that those with brown skin all think alike is flawed: go ask Arizona Open Border and Amnesty Opponents like activist Anna Gaines, a so-called “Hispanic” who stumps for Russell Pearce, Claudia White, a naturalized American citizen born in Mexico who is President of Arizonans for Immigration Control, former Minuteman VP Al Garza who heads up Patriot Coalition, Col. Recently, Jan Brewer vetoed HB2729, State Regulation of Firearms. The essence of the bill would prevent, a state agency, or a political subdivision of the state to enact ordinances or rules in accordance with state law that limit or prohibit the possession of firearms on public property unless:

• The public property is a secured facility.
• There are signs prohibiting the possession of firearms clearly posed at all public entrances, and
• There are secure firearm lockers within reasonable proximity to the main public entrance that are under the control of the operator of the property and that allow for the immediate retrieval of the firearm when exiting the property.

I must admit, I’m totally perplexed by Brewer. She has an A+ rating by the NRA, purports to be a supporter of Second Amendment rights but when push comes to shove, she displays a liberal mentality on exercising a individual right of the Constitution. Does she believe that somehow when the law abiding citizen crosses onto some sacred public property they absolve themselves of their law abiding nature? Hardly. In her speech to NRA members in the 2009 NRA convention in Phoenix, she stated she was an “ardent supporter of the Second Amendment.” Really. And here were a few other doozys:

In Sheboygan, Wis., a few Christian ministers led a noisy fight against a Muslim group that sought permission to open a mosque in a former health food store bought by a Muslim doctor. At one time, neighbors who did not want mosques in their backyards said their concerns were over traffic, parking and noise — the same reasons they might object to a church or a synagogue. But now the gloves are off. In all of the recent conflicts, opponents have said their problem is Islam itself. They quote passages from the Koran and argue that even the most Americanized Muslim secretly wants to replace the Constitution with Islamic Shariah law. These local skirmishes make clear that there is now widespread debate about whether the best way to uphold America’s democratic values is to allow Muslims the same religious freedom enjoyed by other Americans, or to pull away the welcome mat from a faith seen as a singular threat. “What’s different is the heat, the volume, the level of hostility,” said Ihsan

The faculty of a Michigan college is up in arms over the choice of singer, actor and author Pat Boone as commencement speaker for the institution’s 2012 graduation ceremony.

According to a report in the Toledo Blade, petitions protesting Boone’s selection and honorary degree have been circulating among students and faculty at Adrian College in Adrian, Mich., since the school announced the decision on April 2. The school’s faculty association even approved a resolution last week condemning the choice and demanding the school withdraw its invitation.

Janet Salzwedel, an officer with the faculty association, told the newspaper professors were upset with what she called Boone’s “inflammatory kinds of rhetoric.”

The Blade also cited objections over Boone’s willingness to question Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president and the legitimacy of the document the White House presented as Obama’s purported, long-form birth certificate.

“He is free to speak at other places,” Salzwedel said, “but this is about the students and their day, and [Boone] is not what Adrian College represents.”

According to the Blade, it’s Boone’s commentaries in WND that have “riled some people on the United Methodist Church-affiliated college campus.”

A Facebook page set up to “keep Pat Boone off of Adrian College’s campus” contends that Boone spends his time as a “political pundit, promoting his views of racism, sexism, homophobia and religious intolerance” and then links to a press release put out by the Human Rights Campaign, a leading homosexual activism group.

Harry  Truman:   Harry Truman was a different kind of President.  He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the  house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His  wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than  their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives  there.

When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a  year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and  personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and,  later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per  year..

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated,  Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was  no Secret Service following them.

When offered  corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating,  "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and  that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."

Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on  his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."

As  president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.

Modern politicians have found a new level of  success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold  wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to  become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale. 

Good old Harry Truman was correct when he  observed, "My choices in life were either to be a piano player  in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth,  there's hardly any difference!"

Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, a Democrat, has a theory regarding some potential electoral troubles he believes Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney may encounter. On Thursday, in an interview with The Daily Beast, he said that Romney may face resistance nationally because his father was “born on a polygamy commune in Mexico.”

“I am not alleging by any stretch that Romney is a polygamist and approves of [the] polygamy lifestyle, but his father was born into [a] polygamy commune in Mexico,” Schweitzer is also quoted as saying in the interview.

As The Gateway Pundit noted, though, as have other outlets that President Barack Obama, too, has a polygamist family history. In an op-ed for The Washington Post, associate editor David Maraniss wrote the following about both Obama‘s and Romney’s attachment, albiet indirect, to plural marriage:

Duplistic Bill O’Reilly Or Is He Man Enough To Clarify His Statement?

If you listen carefully at 48 Seconds on the video time bar, Bill O’Reilly makes the statement that the birth & the birth announcement was made “on the day he was born” in the newspaper. This is not so, the newspaper announcement was made 9 days after the fact. The announcement was not a ‘birth’ announcement but a registration announcement that is consistent with anybody obtaining a COLB and moving to Hawaii.

Here is the newspaper announcement. Notice the date of publication being August 13, 1961 and the red arrow where a [[registration record]] is  filed with the Health Bureau Statistics,  which shows a son is born “somewhere” on August 4, 1961. This is NOT a ’29 Gazillion to one’ , this is  normal protocol of the Health Bureau of Hawaii. It simply shows someone filed & registered a  for a COLB in Hawaii much like Sun Yat Sen did in April 1904.  A COLB is not a ‘Live Birth Long Form Certificate’ in fact A COLB cannot even be used by native Hawaiians to obtain a drivers license.

A new investigation of Obama’s birth announcements appearing in Hawaii’s two primary newspapers in August, 1961 shows, conclusively, they were the result of a registration record taken by the municipal health authority, not a medically verified “Live” birth documented as occurring at a Hawaiian hospital, per an officially defined “vital event” designated by the U.S. Department of Health, National Vital Statistics Division protocols.

If you are one of the select few that actually enjoys riding the bus, you might have a change of heart after hearing what the TSA is doing in Houston, Texas.

Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee held a press conference last week to discuss the details of Houston’s newest initiatives. It is being branded as a program called “BusSafe” and the press release describes it as a necessity for enhancing safety in the city’s public transportation system. Just exactly how they are going about accomplishing that has already attracted its fair share of critics, though.

Under the program launched last week, passengers on busses run by the Houston METRO system will be subjected to random questioning and searches from “counter-terrorism experts” hired by the Transportation Security Administration. Yes, the very same TSA that has become notorious for invasive pat-downs at airports across the country are opening up a new front in their war on privacy, and it’s on Houston’s public busses.

Riders of the Houston METRO won’t be waiting in line for security checkpoints like they do before boarding flights, though. According to the press release, authorities will “ride buses, perform random bag checks and conduct K-9 sweeps, as well as place uniformed and plainclothes officers at Transit Centers and rail platforms to detect, prevent and address latent criminal activity or behavior.” Both local police and undercover TSA agents will be carrying out the city-wide searches.

The dispute — he offered $30 for services she thought they had agreed were worth 25 times that — triggered a tense early morning struggle in the hallway of the posh hotel involving the woman, another prostitute, Colombian police officers arguing on the women’s behalf and American federal agents who tried but failed to keep the matter — which has shaken the reputation of the Secret Service — from escalating.

Sitting on a couch in her living room wearing a short jean skirt, high-heeled espadrilles and a tight spandex top with a plunging neckline, the woman described how she and a girlfriend were approached by a group of American men at a discotheque. In an account that tracked with the official version of events coming out of Washington, but could not be independently confirmed, she said the men bought a bottle of Absolut vodka for the table and when that was finished bought a second one.

‘Cash money’ hookers that took down Secret Service revealed

The Secret Service sex scandal has been full of all kinds of twists and turns since the story broke – but would you believe that the New York Times actually scored an interview with the prostitute at the center of the controversy? It’s almost unbelievable – and has left Glenn wondering if there is more to the story than what has been revealed.

The New York Times had the first interview with the woman. They reported:

 A Secret Service agent preparing for President Obama’s arrival at an international summit meeting and a single mother from Colombia who makes a living as a high-priced escort faced off in a room at the Hotel Caribe a week ago over how much he owed her for the previous night’s intercourse. “I tell him, ‘Baby, my cash money,’ ” the woman said in her first public comments on a dispute that would soon spiral into a full-blown scandal.

A taxi driver who picked up the woman at the Hotel Caribe the morning of the encounter said he heard her and another woman recount the dispute over payment. When approached by a reporter for The New York Times, the woman was initially reluctant to speak about what had occurred. As she nervously told her story, a friend gave details that seemed to corroborate her account.
There was a language gap between the woman, 24, who declined to give her full name, and the American man who sat beside her at the bar and eventually invited her to his room. She agreed, stopped on the way to buy condoms but told him he would have to give her a gift. He asked how much. Not knowing he worked for Mr. Obama but figuring he was a well-heeled foreigner, she said, she told him $800.
The price alone, she said, indicates she is an escort, not a prostitute. “You have higher rank,” she said. “An escort is someone who a man can take out to dinner. She can dress nicely, wear nice makeup, speak and act like a lady. That’s me.”

“So now we have as many as 21 different security personnel that went down for the president and spent the night with a hooker. Hmmm. Hmmm. That’s a lot. It seems like a really big deal, doesn’t it? 21 Secret Service. When’s the last time you heard the story of a Secret Service agent, one, while on duty, while doing his job to advance the president’s trip, even get drunk? There’s a scandal. 21 Secret Service agents go out while they’re doing advance work for the president’s trip in a foreign country and get drunk. There’s a scandal,” Glenn said.

Glenn said that for this story to be true then we would have been lied to our whole life about the Secret Service.

“Something’s not right with this story,” Glenn said.

“It’s not impossible that you just have an incredibly odd exception to every rule we’ve ever been taught, but it is ‑‑ there’s something weird going on with the story certainly,” Stu added.

“And by the way, that’s not only Secret Service.  That is now possibly the Marines and the Air Force.  But no one strangely from the advanced team in the Obama administration.  The guys who don’t have those ethics,” said Glenn.

Comparing Obama to Hitler is something that the liberal/left used to blame on the Tea Party. However, posters and signs showing Obama with a Hitler moustache were inevitably traced to followers of Lyndon LaRouche. They sometimes tried to portray themselves as conservatives, but in reality LaRouche is a former Marxist who ran for president as a Democrat. They like to cause deliberate political confusion.

Now that an educated Catholic Bishop with knowledge of history and a commitment to religious freedom has made the comparison, however, the national media cannot decide on how to respond.

When I saw the headline, “Bishop Compares Obama Policies to Hitler, Stalin,” over an article on Newsmax.com, the conservative website, I thought at first it must be an error or exaggeration. Was a Catholic Bishop actually being this harsh? I have reported on the reaction of the Catholic Church to the Obama Administration’s birth control mandate affecting religious institutions. My local priest called it evil and demonic and has suggested the church will be persecuted and ministers jailed for resisting the federal onslaught. But comparing the President personally to Hitler and Stalin?

The Newsmax headline about the charge concerned a story from LifeSiteNews.com. The Daily Caller titled it: “Illinois Bishop: Obama ‘intent on following a similar path’ as Hitler, Stalin.”

I went to the www.LifeSiteNews.com and the headline over its story was only slightly different: “Obama taking ‘similar path’ as Hitler and Stalin: Illinois bishop.” The question then became—were these stories somehow exaggerating what the Catholic Bishop said?

Without making a public or private announcement, the FBI has ended critical intelligence sharing with all 77 law enforcement fusion centers nationwide. This policy was implemented less than two days after a top FBI official told Congress about the FBI’s extensive efforts to share intelligence with state and local partners.
On Monday, a state fusion center official told PJ Media:

The FBI has effectively put us out of business. We are right back to September 10.

Two other fusion center officials in other states confirmed the FBI’s new policy to PJ Media.

On March 1, the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) stopped sharing Watch Encounter reports with the fusion centers. The Watch Encounter reports document incidents of individuals on terror watch lists having encounters with state or local law enforcement.
Until now, the Watch Encounter reports were forwarded to the fusion center responsible for the area where the encounter occurred. Since the TSC doesn’t share the terror watch lists with the fusion centers, the Watch Encounter reports were the only means that state officials had of knowing that someone on a terror watch list had either traveled to or lived in their area.
Forwarding the Watch Encounter reports to the fusion centers had proved helpful to the FBI, according to a fusion center official:

When we received these reports we would get the dash cam recordings from the department in question and even interview the officer who conducted the stop. We would then double-back to the FBI with the information. We also found that while the FBI field offices were supposed to be receiving these encounter reports, they were typically unaware that anything had happened

Media hid Dick Clark's condition since 2004 stroke

NEW YORK – The death of Dick Clark on Wednesday marked the end of his courageous effort to recover from a stroke suffered in December 2004. His efforts to battle back to health were far greater than publicly known.

In 2004, this reporter was a producer at ABC’s “Good Morning America” and had been assigned to cover Dick Clark’s health crisis.

Early in December, reports surfaced that Dick had been hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering a “minor” stroke.

His publicist, Amy Streibel, told reporters Dick was “just fine.” Some reports speculated Dick might even return to host his “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” show later that month.

But we at GMA knew better.

Word had surfaced at ABC that Dick’s condition was far worse than publicly reported. We even had doubts Dick would ever return to host his fabled show.

Our challenge was to balance our obligations to report what we knew to our audience, while respecting the privacy of Dick’s family as they and his doctors decided how to handle his dilemma.

Earlier in the year, Dick revealed he had diabetes.

In the end, a decision was made by senior officials at “Good Morning America” to respect the family’s privacy. ABC brass huddled and Regis Philbin was selected to guest host “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” that year.

Nothing was ever said about what we knew until now, after Dick’s passing.

In November 2005, we at ABC were pleased to learn Dick, after a difficult year of intense physical therapy, had all intentions to return to the studio facility just above Times Square to again host his annual show.

But, just what would Dick do? His role on the show was a guarded secret. The program was a property of Dick Clark Productions, not ABC, so gossip at the network was rampant. In fact, most of the production crew at the Times Square facility worked for Dick, and they weren’t talking.

Were they trying to hide something, or were they simply trying to boost TV ratings for Dick’s return?

In retrospect, it was a little of both.

CNN Anchor Has Testy Exchange With Allen West Over Communist Remarks: ‘Name Names’

Allen West’s comments that there are nearly 80 Communists in the House just won’t go away. And CNN is making sure of that.

CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien, for example, had a testy exchange with West on Thursday morning, confronting him on the remarks and demanding he “name names.”

From the beginning, O’Brien was combative, vehemently disagreeing with Allen West regarding Ted Nugent’s controversial recent comments. Then they turned to West’s own remarks. After playing the clip, O’Brien asked him about it, and West said that Communists have “renamed themselves progressive” but the ideology has stayed the same. Mediaite picks it up from there with a transcript:

“So name names for me,” O’Brien said. “Start naming the 78 to 81…”
“Oh, we don’t have to…” West countered.
“Oh, we do! I’m dying to know,” O’Brien pressed. “Which are the members of the…”
“You can go look up the progressive caucus…” interrupted West.
“I got ‘em right here!” O’Brien interjected — and seemingly out of thin air pulled out a list of the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“When then you’ve got the names,” West said.
“So Keith Ellison is a communist?” asked O’Brien. “Raúl Grijalva is a communist?”
“Well, look, I’m just talking about the fact that the ideology and principles — you can call it whatever you want…”
“Tammy Baldwin is a communist? Judy Chu is a communist?” O’Brien continued.
“You can call it whatever you want,” West replied.
“Yeah, but I want to know what you’re calling it,” O’Brien said.
“I’m calling it this,” West clarified. “Communist, progressive, Marxist, statist, another term being used. I’m looking at things they believe in. If you don’t think we have to stand upon truth and be able to identify and clearly contrast the different principles and values and ideologies of governance here in this country, then we’re never going to get to the fact of accepting the true debate happening in America. We don’t need a bureaucratic nanny state. We need to stay a Constitutional Republic. I think a lot of people need to study that and understand what it is.”

HELLO, MAN IT'S DARK IN HERE ?

“This president has brought us out of the dark and into the light,” is how Michelle Obama described her husband, the undocumented president to an applauding crowd of 450 at a campaign event yesterday in Nashville, Tennessee

Few, if any, would have expected a Sermon on the Mount from self-centered, hedonistic Michelle Obama on the heels of Holy Week.

Claiming Christ-like status at Easter time is something only demons of the Prince of Darkness would attempt.

“This president has brought us out of the dark and into the light” is certainly one of the most audacious things ever uttered from any presidential campaign trail.

In terms of real time, Mrs. Obama was right on cue with Easter scripture from the book of Matthew: “The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.” (Matthew 4:16).

Perhaps she intercepted her Nicodemus Moment from one of her husband’s Blackberry ‘devotionals’ sent from Joshua DuBois, the head of Barack Obama’s Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Every day the president receives ‘devotionals’ or passages meant to bring one closer to God over a Blackberry.

“Where it’s a passage of scripture or a piece out of a book that I think he might be interested in or a prayer, it’s something to start his day off on the right note,” DuBois told Fox News on February 5, 2010.

Painting a halo around the head of a politician,  who back in his days as a mostly absentee senator paved the way for the slaughter of babies who survive botched abortions, could come only from Marxist strategy.

Psych-ops and projection are also Marxist in nature. 

The incidence of American institutions coming under attack will continue right up to Election Day.
