Talks over the UN Arms Trade Treaty fell apart today, effectively killing the agreement. The Arms Trade Treaty Legal Blog reports that the process seemed to be moving to completion when the United States requested an extension to the time to negotiate the agreement. This opened the door to other countries to begin registering objections, and it soon became clear that reaching agreement within the allowed timeframe would be impossible. The proposed treaty, which raised considerable domestic opposition from gun rights advocates in the United States, died before it had a chance to become a threat. As a delegate from China observed, "C'est la vie et la vie c'est ça."
The UN may take up the matter at a later date, but for now it is on indefinite hiatus.

‘The Beginning of a Global Movement for Freedom for all Mankind’: Glenn Beck Wows Dallas at FreePAC (See Entire Speech)

The American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, was teeming with small-government, liberty-driven conservatives Thursday evening who gathered to attend FreePAC, an event organized by FreedomWorks and that coincides with Glenn Beck’s Restoring Love event. The powerful line-up of speakers included Texas congressional hopeful Ted Cruz, authors Deneen Borelli and Dana Loesch, and concluded with a compelling keynote speech from Beck himself. Having attended FreePAC, I can only attest to the fact that the crowd went absolutely wild and delivered a tremendous standing ovation as Beck walked out onto the stage.

“This is only day one of Restoring Love!” he exclaimed. “If day number one is this good, wait for day number two!”

The global Tea Party movement “is remarkable,” Beck said, referring to people who came from all over the world to learn from American conservatives.

“These people want freedom so bad and they don’t even know how to get it. ‘These are true heroes and this is the beginning of a global movement for freedom for all mankind!”

Beck then invoked a poem by Rudyard Kipling entitled, “The Gods of the Copybook Headings.” When one reads the poem, the message Beck was trying to make is clear:

AS I PASS through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.
We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn

“This generation is crying out and waking up,” Beck said after reciting the poem in its entirety. “This is the largest gathering of independent-minded conservatives in American history ever.”
Beck spoke about the 30,000 volunteers who have signed up to participate in a “day of service” for Restoring Love. “It is the largest collection of volunteers doing community service [at once] in America ever,” he added.
Citing the sold-out Dallas Cowboys stadium that will serve as home to Restoring Love, Beck then jested, “I hear there’s a few people coming to the stadium on Saturday as well!”
The energy was palpable and it was clear to see that the audience was swelling with both pride and enthusiasm.
Responding to critics of the Tea Party and conservatives by and large, Beck reminded the crowd that they have “already won” and that if they simply “stick together and ”never engage in hate” then the media, progressives and the liberal establishment will have been proven wrong.
“Everything they say about us is a lie,“ he exclaimed before explaining that they are not ”our enemies“ but rather ”enemies of [God] and man’s freedom.”

“They will destroy themselves. Just give everyone a square deal, be honest…don’t dishonor yourself and serve your fellow man.”

Explaining how we are all witnessing something that only happens every so often, Beck said that “the progressives have woken the sleeping giant again.”

“America is good and America is still good,” he boomed to a standing ovation.

Obama Issues Executive Order Establishing Race-Based Discipline System for Public Schools

President Barack Obama is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates, regardless of individuals’ behavior.

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

“African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline,” said the order, titled “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence.”

Because of those causes, the report suggests, “over a third of African American students do not graduate from high school on time with a regular high school diploma, and only four percent of African American high school graduates interested in college are college-ready across a range of subjects.”

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

“It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others,” said Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity.

“A disproportionate share of crimes are committed by African Americans, and they are disproportionately likely to misbehave in school… [because] more than 7 out of 10 African Americans (72.5 percent) are born out of wedlock… versus fewer than 3 out of 10 whites,” he said in a statement to The Daily Caller. Although ” you won’t see it mentioned in the Executive Order… there is an obvious connection between these [marriage] numbers and how each group is doing educationally, economically, criminally,” he said.

The order created a “President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans.” It will include senior officials from several federal agencies — including the Departments of Education, Justice and Labor — which have gained increased power over state education policies since 2009.
The progressives campaign for race-based discipline policies also won a victory in Maryland July 24.
The state’s board of education established a policy demanding that each racial or ethnic group receive roughly proportional level of school penalties, regardless of the behavior by members of each group.
The board’s decision requires that “the state’s 24 school systems track data to ensure that minority and special education students are not unduly affected by suspensions, expulsions and other disciplinary measures,” said a July 25 Washington Post report.
“Disparities would have to be reduced within a year and eliminated within three years,” according to the Post.
The state’s new racial policy was welcomed by progressives, including Judith Browne Dianis, a director of the D.C.-based Advancement Project. “Maryland’s proposal is on the cutting edge,” she told the Post.
Dianis’ project is also a law firm that litigates race-related questions, and it gains from laws and regulations that spur race-related legal disputes.

“The combination of overly harsh school policies … has created a ‘schoolhouse-to-jailhouse track,’ in which punitive measures such as suspensions, expulsions, and school-based arrests are increasingly used to deal with student misbehavior,” claimed the group’s website.

This “is a racial justice crisis, because the students pushed out through harsh discipline are disproportionately students of color,” the group insisted.

The administration had previously advertised its support for the campaign to impose race-based discipline policies.

In February, Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that “we’ve often seen that students of color, students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and students with special needs are disproportionately likely to be suspended or expelled.”
“This is, quite simply, unacceptable. … These unnecessary and destructive policies must be changed,” he said in his speech, given in Atlanta, Ga.

Holder’s speech did not, however, include any evidence of discrimination toward any individual African-American student. For example, he offered no evidence that school infractions by African-American students prompt stiffer punishments than similar infractions by white, Hispanic or Asian students.

The progressive campaign to impose race-based rules on schools relies on various judges’ decisions, which penalize so-called “disparate impact” in hiring.
According to progressive lawyers, “disparate impact” may occur when companies or state and local governments hire and promote people at rates different from their percentage in the local population.
Because of judges’ decisions, juries can force companies and state agencies — such as city boards that hire police officers and firefighters — to pay heavy financial penalties to plaintiffs, even when hiring policies are recognized as color-blind.
When facing a disparate impact lawsuit, employers have to justify their hiring practices, for example, by showing that the job demands special skills possessed by relatively few members of a racial or ethnic group.

In 1997, however, the Seventh Circuit appeals court barred disparate-impact claims in school-discipline cases, said Bader.

The decision by Maryland’s board is unconstitutional, he said, adding that its “sheer rigidness and brazenness surprises me.”

Progressives say the “disparate impact” claims are supported by the 1964 Civil Right Act.
Critics, such as Clegg, say “disparate impact” law is used to trump popular and effective color-blind practices, such as civil-service tests by governments and employment-suitability testing by companies.
Another critic, David Rettig, head of the National Character Education Foundation, told The Daily Caller in February that apparently-disproportionate school discipline practices can be a reflection of local crime reports.

“Outside the walls of the school, how many of these kids are coming from not just dysfunctional homes, but homes that are not supportive of their children?” he told TheDC.

About the tragedy in Aurora, Colo., rapper/actor Ice-T made more sense -- and has a better understanding of the Second Amendment -- than gun-control proponents. Asked by a London news anchor about America's gun culture, Ice-T said: "Well, I'd give up my gun when everybody does. Doesn't that make sense? ... If there were guns here, would you want to be the only person without one?"
Anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Channel 4 News: "So do you carry guns routinely at home?"
Ice-T: "Yeah, it's legal in the United States. It's part of our Constitution. You know, the right to bear arms is because that's the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It's to protect yourself from the police."
Anchor: "And do you see any link between that and these sorts of (Aurora-type) incidents?"
Ice-T: "No. Nah. Not really. You know what I'm saying, if somebody wants to kill people, you know, they don't need a gun to do it."
Anchor: "It makes it easier, though, doesn't it?"
Ice-T: "Not really. You can strap explosives on your body. They do that all the time."
Anchor: "So when there's the inevitable backlash of the anti-gun lobby, as a result of this instance, as there always is--"
Ice-T: "Well, that's not going to change anything. ... The United States is based on guns."

Security experts say a determined killer, willing to give up his own life, cannot be stopped. The odds, however, can be shifted in favor of the victims and would-be victims. How?

In Pearl, Miss., a gunman who killed two students and wounded seven at a high school was stopped by an assistant principal, who rushed to his car and got his gun. The assistant principal, running back with his .45, spotted the rifle-carrying shooter in the parking lot. Ordering the teen to stop, the vice principal held his gun to the shooter's neck until police arrived.
In Salt Lake City, a man purchased a knife in a grocery store, walked outside and stabbed and critically injured two men. He was threatening others, when a store patron with a concealed weapons permit drew his gun, forced the attacker to the ground and held him until police arrived.
In Grundy, Va., a disgruntled student on the verge of his second suspension at Appalachian School of Law shot and killed the dean, a professor and a fellow student. Two students, both off-duty peace officers, ran to their cars, retrieved their guns and used them to halt the attack.
No one knows whether Aurora would have turned out differently had there been an armed patron or two inside the theater. But at the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, where 32 people died, there was a no-guns policy -- just as, apparently, at the movie theater in Aurora.

For a guaranteed blank stare, ask gun-control proponents how often Americans use guns to defend themselves. They can't tell you, because they don't ask.

Suppose a guy goes to a baseball game. "Honey," his wife asks afterward, "who won the game?" The husband says, "The Dodgers scored four runs." What's missing? Obviously, the wife still knows nothing about the outcome because she knows only one-half of the equation. Well, how can one responsibly discuss "how many people die because of guns" without discussing the other half of the equation -- how many people would not be alive without their defensive use of a gun?

So, how often do Americans use firearms for self-defense?

Criminologist Gary Kleck estimates that 2.5 million Americans use guns to defend themselves each year. Out of that number, 400,000 believe that but for their firearms, they would have been dead.

Professor Emeritus James Q. Wilson, the UCLA public policy expert, says: "We know from Census Bureau surveys that something beyond 100,000 uses of guns for self-defense occur every year. We know from smaller surveys of a commercial nature that the number may be as high as 2 1/2 or 3 million. We don't know what the right number is, but whatever the right number is, it's not a trivial number."
Former Manhattan Assistant District Attorney David P. Koppel studied gun control for the Cato Institute. Citing a 1979-1985 study by the National Crime Victimization Survey, Koppel found: "When a robbery victim does not defend himself, the robber succeeds 88 percent of the time, and the victim is injured 25 percent of the time. When a victim resists with a gun, the robbery success rate falls to 30 percent, and the victim injury rate falls to 17 percent. No other response to a robbery -- from drawing a knife to shouting for help to fleeing -- produces such low rates of victim injury and robbery success."
When asked if additional gun laws would be beneficial or have no effect, most Americans, like Ice-T, get it. They oppose shifting power to the criminal. And they don't need the National Rifle Association to tell them: The only people willing to abide by additional gun laws are the law-abiding.

BLOOMBERG CALLS FOR NATIONAL POLICE STRIKE

   As I listened to Mayor Bloomberg's call for a National strike of our police departments to force Gun Control on the American people I again find myself wondering where he gets his drugs or his pills for stupidity.  It appears his desire for public notice in his drive to become the president of the U.S. is driving him into levels of idiocy that have seldom been reached.  But then he is one of the Progressive LIberals that want to rule but fear the American people possessing weapons for self defense.  

   He would never admit it but it is surely true that he goes nowhere without several ARMED bodyguards around him.  Most Progressive pols do.Also being a billionaire puts him in elite status with the Bilderbergers so he must be better than the rest of us.

   GUN CONTROL   GUN CONTROL.   The never ending cry of the Progressive Liberal expressing his over riding fear of the average American owning a weapon.  Common Sense rose up and left the house as the inanity continues.   Don't deal with the root of the problem and aleviate the causes but rather utilize the problem for your own best interests.  I truly wonder when the final judging comes to pass how few politicians will be found in the Kingdom of GOD ?  According to what I read as the Criteria for entrance the admittees will be very limited.

   I really hope that the many fine men and women who serve our nation as police officers, who believe in their job as a calling from GOD will ignore the insanity being pushed by our present government and honor their oath to serve and protect the people.  Perform your jobs as you have been called and with the moral standards, honor and compassion GOD gives.  GOD BE WITH YOU ALL.

Death panels on steroids

you want to see what direction health care is going, just read the July 12 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).

Of course, reading a medical journal isn’t on most people’s “to do” lists. Even medical professionals who do read journal articles rarely do so to gain insight into the latest shifts in the cultural or political winds.

That’s a mistake. These days, radical trial balloons are often launched from such “venerable” publications — which is especially disturbing because the imprimatur of the medical intelligentsia provides respectability to ideas that otherwise would be dismissed out of hand. The mere fact that an idea appears in what The New York Times describes as “perhaps the most influential medical publication in the world,” places that concept firmly within the realm of respectable debate.

Which brings us back to the NEJM.

On its pages, the NEJM has long featured articles favoring euthanasia and assisted suicide as well as health care rationing. Indeed, two of its former editors, Dr. Arnold Relman and Dr. Marcia Angell, are vocal advocates of eliminating the private health system and replacing it with a single-payer, government-controlled health system. And both are among the 14 subscribing petitioners on a doctor-prescribed suicide initiative that will appear on the November 2012 ballot in Massachusetts.

Angell is so enamored with the concept of assisted suicide that, in a 2004 article, she decried the fact that too few people were availing themselves of Oregon’s doctor-prescribed suicide law. She expressed concern that the law was too restrictive.

Now, the NEJM has given a platform for Dr. Lisa Lehmann, director of the Center for Bioethics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and researcher Julian Prokopetz to lay out a proposal for facilitating what they call “assisted dying.” In their article, “Redefining Physicians’ Role in Assisted Dying,” the authors address what they see as a real problem: There aren’t enough doctors willing to participate in assisted suicide.

As the authors state, “Many medical professionals are uncomfortable with the idea of physicians playing an active role in ending patient’s lives.” Furthermore, they explain that the American Medical Association and various state medical groups oppose legalization.

It should be noted that when Washington and Oregon changed their laws to permit assisted suicide, they did not make all assisted suicide legal. For example, one’s mechanic, plumber, attorney, professor, or spouse is not given the authority to assist suicide. Essentially, what was made legal in those states — and what is funded by state and private insurance — is one type of assisted suicide: doctor-prescribed suicide.

It is the necessity of a doctor who will prescribe the deadly dose which presents a stumbling block that Lehmann and Prokopetz seek to address. As they explain, “We believe there is a compelling case for legalizing assisted dying, but assisted dying need not be physician-assisted.”

And how do they suggest that this hurdle between diagnosis and prescription be overcome?

Simple.

Take the doctor out of doctor-prescribed suicide by setting up a government-facilitated process that will make it easier for patients to cross the River Styx. As they explain:

We envision the development of a central state or federal mechanism to confirm the authenticity and eligibility of patients’ requests, dispense medication, and monitor demand and use. Such a mechanism would obviate physician involvement beyond usual care.

They see this as a way of overcoming the reluctance of most doctors to assist in suicide, while they remain oblivious (or indifferent) to protecting the lives of vulnerable patients.

As they accurately explain, under Oregon’s and Washington’s laws, the patient’s doctor confirms the prognosis, explains alternatives for treatment and care to the patient, and then writes the lethal suicide prescription. In their plan, the doctor would bow out of the process before writing the prescription: “Prognosis and treatment options are part of standard clinical discussions, so if a physician certifies that information in writing, patients could conceivable go to an independent authority to obtain the prescription.” At that point, the patient could simply go to a suicide-prescribing clinic. “Patients could also provide an independent authority with their medical record as proof of their prognosis.”

Could this work?

Yes, without question.

Many states already permit nurse-practitioners to prescribe barbiturates (the same drugs prescribed in intentionally lethal amounts for suicide in Washington and Oregon). Removing the requirement that the prescription for suicide be doctor-prescribed would certainly be possible.

While there might be initial objections to leaving the doctor out a crucial step in the process, it should be noted that state-issued annual reports in both Washington and Oregon indicate that reported assisted-suicide cases do not involve the close doctor-patient relationship that advocates of the practice promised would occur.

For example, in Oregon, the length of time for the doctor-patient relationship before writing the lethal prescription has been under one week in some reported cases. Even in cases where the patient has been in the care of the prescribing doctor, once the prescription is written, the doctor may have no further contact with the patient. Prescribing doctors have been present at the time of the patients’ death from the prescribed overdose in fewer than seven percent of reported cases.

Details of how the newly proposed system would work were revealed by Dr. Lehmann in an interview with ABC News. She explained that doctors would only be responsible for making the diagnosis of a terminal illness. Then, the patient should be able to pick up the lethal drugs from a government-authorized, all-purpose location where a government bureaucrat would determine the patient’s eligibility for a death prescription.

In addition to soothing the sensibilities — and deadening the consciences — of doctors, moving physicians into the background would have another effect. It would increase the number of assisted suicides.

Let’s consider this for a moment. Do we really think that a government that is constantly looking for ways to contain health care costs will be likely to deny death eligibility? Do we think that government death-control officials will do the right thing — or the cheap thing?

Take this proposal, coupled with government-run health care, and you have “death panels on steroids.”

Like we said, if you want to see what direction things are going in health care, just read the professional journals.

 by The CR:  It is sad to see the level that our medical system has degenerated to licensing not doctors but death squad members.  That there should be members of the medical profession that seek after killing patients rather than healing them is a disgrace to humanity. It brings to mind people like Dr. Mengele of NAZI Germany and others of his persuasion.  Drs. Lehmann and Prokopetz appear to fit in this mold by their words.  Their fascination with killing people is reminicent of  Dr. death Jack Kevorkian who had a fanatical fascination with killing people.  I would recommend  Dr.s Lehmann and Prokopetz apply with the various states that still execute murderers to be their executioners as I ,for one ,would never want them having anything to do with care for me or my family.  There are many doctors in America who take their oaths seriously and work hard to provide the best of care even to their terminal patients. GOD bless each one of them.   As for those who advocate doctors being suicide promotors i say this:  MAY THE DAY OF YOUR FACING GOD BE SOON AND MAY THE DOCTORS WHO PROVIDE YOUR CARE BE AS SHORT ON COMPASSION &CARING AS YOU ARE TOWARDS THE REST OF US.

Rev. Billy Graham, at 93 the senior statesman among Christian leaders in America, says he’s rooting for his longtime friends, the Cathy family, in a nasty public blowup over their religious beliefs.

“I want to express my support for my good friends Truett Cathy and his son Dan Cathy, and for their strong stand for the Christian faith,” he said in a statement released by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Over the past few days, the Henson Co., creator of the Muppets characters, said it no longer would work with Chick-fil-A. The mayor of Boston publicly bashed the restaurant chain. Chicago officials said they would not want the company to operate in their wards. And “kiss-in” protests were announced in front of company outlets on college campuses.

All brought on by advocates for homosexual behavior because Dan Cathy, whose father, Truett Cathy, founded the $4 billion-plus a year business, gave an interview to the Baptist Press.

Pennsylvania's Capitalist Revolt

Citizens Alliance for Pennsylvania turns Keystone State politics upside down.

The former Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives is in jail.

He shares a cell with -- a former Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

One is a Democrat. One is a Republican.

Nothing like a bipartisan jail cell. And these two -- Democrat Bill DeWeese and Republican John Perzel -- are not the only Pennsylvania legislators to be either now in the hoosegow or on their way, fresh convictions in hand.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is in trouble. And Pennsylvania's capitalists are in open revolt.

Specifically, they are banding together under the banner of a group they are calling the Citizen's Alliance for Pennsylvania -- CAP. (CAP's website can be found here.) And CAP is now roaming the state with all the subtlety of Allied forces storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.

Their target?

What CAP calls the "bi-partisan collusion of career politicians, labor unions and trial lawyers that has mired the Commonwealth in corruption and economic stagnation."

Ouch.

Can you say "Wisconsin"?

The labor unions in question are, but of course, precisely the same as they were in the Wisconsin showdown. Public employee unions. All of which were given collective bargaining rights in Pennsylvania in the way back of 1968 -- under a Republican governor. (You know -- that old moderate GOP shamble kinda thing.)

What really fries the shorts of CAP members is the aforementioned "collusion" they see between both parties, the kind of thing that can end up with two Speakers of the House -- one from each party -- sharing a cell in the Big House.

How in the world did a state where a citizen legislature created in 1776 -- as CAP says "replete with term-limits, part-time work status, and modest compensation" -- work its way into a situation where there are not only no term limits but where a former Senate Democratic Leader (yes, he too now in the hoosegow) can get a $330,000 a year pension? With that ex-senator not being alone in the pension goods department?

Answer: Pennsylvania has been driven to this point because of what CAP calls the "Iron Triangle" of career politicians, bureaucrats, and lobbyists. Lobbyists in particular for those public employee unions and the trial lawyers bar.

Make no mistake here.

CAP, while not affiliated with the Tea Party, is channeling precisely the same kind of outrage from a growing number of Pennsylvanians, in this case all of it targeted to state government. If one were to find an analogous group at the federal level it might better be the Club for Growth. A group, coincidentally, once chaired by onetime businessman and now Pennsylvania's conservative Republican U.S. Senator Pat Toomey. CAP is channeling the same outrage that has made neighboring New Jersey Governor Chris Christie so popular, and fueled the high ratings for governors like Indiana's Mitch Daniels, Louisiana's Bobby Jindal, and Wisconsin's Scott Walker.

What brought CAP to life in the first place is perhaps as interesting a tale as the stunning successes it has already had in its short, three-year life span.

In the wee hours of July 5, 2005 -- 2 a.m. to be precise -- the Pennsylvania legislature voted its members a salary increase that ranged, depending on the legislators length of service, from 16% to 34%. Hearings on this? Nope. Debate? Nada. "To add insult to injury," CAP members still fume a full seven years later, in a clear violation of the Pennsylvania Constitution the boys and girls in the state legislative playpen could start picking up their checks, well, pronto.

Can you say "backlash"?

Like a Fourth of July fireworks display, the state of Pennsylvania erupted. The move was on -- on the spot -- to repeal the pay raise. Not only did the repeal succeed, but a bipartisan wrath began shaking both political parties to their foundations. In the following year's legislative elections some 17 legislators went down to stunning defeats, including the State Senate's President Pro Tempore and its Majority Leader. Both men were Republicans -- and they were taken down by anti-pay raise Republicans in a primary, the challengers winning the follow-up November election.

Two years after the pay raise fury another storm hit Harrisburg. "Bonusgate." This time it involved the discovery that the leadership of the General Assembly's four legislative caucuses -- one caucus for each party in each chamber -- had been caught, in CAP's indignant words, "using millions of dollars in taxpayer money to get lawmakers re-elected." Five legislators and over a dozen staffers were sent to the slammer -- and yes, this is how two Speakers of the House from different parties wound up as cellmates.

THE INANETY OF GUN CONTROL

  Gun control.    GUN control.  Gun CONTROL  GUN CONTROL.  TWO WORDS THAT SO MANY PROGRESSIVE POLITICIANS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS THROW OUT WITH GREAT ABANDON AS THEY WORK TIRELESSLY TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GENERAL AMERICAN WHAT THE PROGRESSIVES ARE SO DEATHLY AFRAID OF.

   GUNS.  Hand guns,  rifles ,shotguns  guns of all kinds and makes.  The fear that arises in the breasts of liberal progressives is about at the level of deep paranoia.  The mere thought of a gun in public hands sends them screaming into stupidty and ridiculousness.  Reason and common sense are not involved in their abject fear of civilian owned weapons.  WHY?   Is there a deeper reasoning that the general public is not privy to??  Let us see.

   The Progressive mind set goes back before the founding of our nation, back to the European nations and Great Britain.  Way back then the concept of the general public having possession of weapons was not willingly accepted by the Progressive ruling classes.  Even their use for hunting was restricted mostly for the ruling class people.  others were considered too ignorant and uneducated enough to properly be trusted with working firearms. Only for fighting a war for the lord you served was considered serious enough to arm the general serfs to do the actual fighting.....and dying if needed.

   European nations gradually disarmed their populace with only the ruling classes, the army and police having firearms.  And often the local police were unarmed also.  OOOPS.  ALMOST FORGOT. The criminal element was also armed as they didn't abide by the laws anyway. This left the law abiding civilian classes defenceless against the criminal elements as few police were armed and willing to face the criminals.

   Great Britain carried it to an even stricter level.  Guns were abolished and few police officers were allowed to carry guns and then only with special permission.  There also the law abiding citizens were left at the mercy of the Criminal element as they did not obey the no weapons laws.  The police were usually defenseless also because the Progressive ruling class declared that since the citizens had no weapons the police likewise had no use for them.  Only the ruling classes had weapons to defend themselves with. And so it goes even today.  Grand Old England has removed even hunting guns from their populace leaving them defenseless against [ you guessed it] the criminal element and now the invaision of the muslims who are taking over all of England for Islam.  And the law abiding citizens are paying the price as usual.

   When the first people came to America they brought with them weapons for defense in a wild and unknown land.  defense of themselves and their families was of great importance to them.  Along with their need for protection was the neccesity of hunting to provide meat for food.  The use and ownership of weapons became a life preserving neccesity that caused a growing need for better and more accurate weapons. What they needed they designed and built.  Ownership of weapons for defense, hunting, and war against other nations that were not willing for any others to have the general populace armed.  Many reasons and arguments were put forth but ultimately the base reason was always against an armed populace.  WHY?

  

   ANY NATION WHOSE GENERAL POPULACE IS ARMED AND WEAPON WISE HAS NEVER BEEN TAKEN OVER BY ANOTHER NATION OR TYRANT GOVERNMENT AS LONG AS THE GENERAL POPULATION REMAINS ARMED!  Think about this.  Germany was taken over by HITLER only after he convinced the general populace to be disarmed.  They could no longer defend themselves from the Nazi takeover.  Great Britain was not able to be taken over until the Progressives in their Parliment convinced everyone it was better that no one had any weapons, except the military, and now they are being taken over by the criminal and Muslim elements in their nation.  The government will not defend the general populace and the populace no longer has any weapons to defend themselves with.

   AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE PROGRESSIVES ARE DOING TO AMERICA.  PROGRESSIVES FROM BOTH PARTIES WHO NO LONGER HAVE ANY LOYALTY TO ANYTHING BUT THEIR PROGRESSIVISM.  HOW?  GUN CONTROL.

  Whenever anyone goes off center and uses a gun to kill someone the Progressive liberals start their rant of gun control, gun control.  They are incapable of understanding that simple basic fact:  GUNS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE.  PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.   They may use a gun to kill with, or a knife, poison, cars, explosives, baseball bats etc.  The list of weapons grows endlessly.  People are killed with drugs, pillows, water.  But the only time you hear the Progressive liberals rant and cry is when a gun is used. Take away the guns and people will stop being killed.  OH?  MORE PEOPLE DIE FROM DRUNK DRIVERS EVERY YEAR THAN GUNS.  Check the statistics.  The honest valid statistics.  More people die from drug overdoses than guns, yet we never hear the progressives cry out against drug dealers.  Just gun owners.

  I ISSUE A CHALLENGE TO ALL THE PROGRESSIVES THAT ARE CRYING FOR GUN CONTROL AND DEMANDING WE THE PEOPLE BE DISARMED.  NOT THAT THEY WILL.  THEY ARE TOO COWARDLY.  PLACE A GUN, SEVERAL STYLES ON A TABLE IN THE HALL OF CONGRESS.  PLACE CAMERAS AROUND THEM AND RELIABLE HONEST WITNESSES.  MAKE SURE THEY ARE LOADED WITH APPROPRIATE AMMUNITION.  AND WATCH THEM.  SEE HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR ONE OF THESE WEAPONS THAT ARE SO DANGEROUS AND DEADLY, TO RISE UP ON THEIR OWN AND KILL SOMEONE.  THIS CHALLENGE IS FOR YOU, OBAMA PIERS MORGON, BILL OREILLY CONGRESS AS A WHOLE AND ANY OTHER PROGRESSIVE WHO SCREAMS AND MOANS ABOUT GUN CONTROL AND REMOVING GUNS.  SILLY ISN'T IT?  AND YET THIS IS WHAT THE PROGRESSIVES INSINUATE IS HAPPENING.

   PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.  GUNS ARE NOTHING BUT A TOOL TO BE USED LIKE THE PEN THAT SIGNS AWAY THE LIVES OF SOLDIERS WHEN A POLITICIAN DECIDES HE WANTS A WAR TO MAKE A PROFIT.  THE PEN NO MORE KILLS THAN THE GUN.  IT IS THE INTENT OF THE PERSON USING THE PEN THAT CAUSES THE DEATHS OF SO MANY.  It is the decisions made every day by a multitude of prople that cause the deaths of so many.  The alcoholic who decides he can handle one more drink before he climbs behind the wheel of his vehicle.  The general that signs the battle order sending troops into fight a war because a politician has decided he needs a war to flesh out his legacy. Politicians who violate the very laws they swore to defend as they enable the sales of guns to criminal elements to get themselves reelected and to facilitate taking weapons away from the citizenry to facilitate their takeover of a nation.  And the congress and courts that have the evidence in front of them and still will not stand up for their oaths to defend the constitution that allowed them to achieve what they have.

   Lawmakers that pass laws allowing bad medicines to be dispensed that kill patients.  AND WORST OF ALL PEOPLE WHO UNDER THE GUISE OF HELPING AND HEALING KILL MILLIONS WITH BAD VACCINES DESIGNED TO STERILIZE AND KILL THOSE VACCINATED.  THESE ALL KILL PEOPLE. And yet we say nothing.  We do not shout and cry out shame , shame,  because it isn't POLITICALLY CORRECT.  we ignore the truth and speak the lie and are as guilty as the killers.

   GUN CONTROL    GUN CONTROL.   THE PRIMARY EXCUSE FOR TAKING AWAY THE ABILITY OF THE GENERAL POPULACE TO DEFEND ITSELF AGAINST......OUR OWN TYRANNICAL PROGRESSIVE CONTROLLED GOVERNMENT IN THEIR ATTEMPT AGAIN TO TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM TO LIVE LIFE, TO WORK AND PROSPER,  AND TO BECOME ALL THAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF BEING.  FREEMAN  OR  SLAVE.  CREATOR OF OUR OWN DREAMS  OR SERVANT TO ANOTHER'S INABILITY TO ACHIEVE ON THEIR OWN MERIT.  TO BE THE PROVIDER FOR THOSE TOO LAZY TO WORK FOR THEMSELVES AND WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO SUPPORT THEM.  TAKE AWAY OUR WEAPONS AND WE SHALL SEE WHAT WE WILL BECOME.

   Tomorrow the president Barack Obama and secretary of state Hillary Clinton will sign a treaty giving the United Nations, an organization without any validation, control over our weapons and our lives without the permission or sanction of the people of the United States of America.  These two people with the support of all the Progressive Liberals of both major parties will sign away the rights and freedoms our soldiers and veterans fought and died for without a single thought of remorse or regret. They have intentionally and willfully violated their oaths of office and will ,as before ,be supported by a congress and judiciary that also have forsworn their oaths of office.  These people have systematically disregarded the Bill Of Rights,  the Constitution of the United States and the laws thereof with impunity and disdain. They have shown not one iota of concern for the will of the people as they move forward on their Socialist Agenda.  

   IF WE, AS AMERICANS, ALLOW THIS ADMINISTRATION CONGRESS AND JUDICUARY TO VIOLATE OUR BASIC GOD GIVEN RIGHTS AS AMERICAN CITIZENS THIS NATION WILL BE DESTROYED AND WE WILL BECOME AS A THIRD WORLD NATION WITH ITS CITIZENRY BEING SLAUGHTERED AT THE GOVERNMENTS WILL.  THE PLANS ARE LAID AND YET TOO MANY AMERICANS CONTINUE TO HIDE THEIR HEADS AND IGNORE THE REALITY WE FACE.

   GUN CONTROL IS THE DISARMING OF AMERICA TO ENABLE THE SUBJUGATION OF ITS PEOPLE TO BENEFIT THOSE IN THIS WORLD WHO ARE NOT WILLING TO PUT OUT THE EFFORT NECCESARY TO SUCCEED ON THEIR OWN  THEY WILL DO IT ON OUR BACKS WITH US DOING THE WORK AS SLAVES.    CHOOSE WHAT YOU WILL BE.  WE DON'T HAVE MUCH LONGER..
