Kansas plays "Sparks Of The Tempest" on the 1982 Vinyl Confessions tour.

The sparks of the tempest rage a hundred years on
The voice of the dreamer screams, the cause of the pawn
The King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game
Darkness is spreading like a spot on the sun

The dead are the living in age of the gun
While everyone clamors for the justice they seek
The world is corrupted and the strong take the weak
They mold you and shape you, they watch what you do

The sparks of the tempest are burnin' you through
Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain
The future is managed, and your freedom's a joke

You don't know the difference as you put on the yoke
The less that you know, more you fall into place
A cog in the wheel, there is no soul in your face
Run for the cover, Millennium's here Bearing the standard of confusion and fear Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain Though they may promise, they only bring pain
Blood in the sand, cry in the street Now the cycle is nearly complete Ten thousand years, nothing was learned No turning back, now the wheel has turned
Big brother is watching and he likes what he sees

A world for the taking, when he's ready to squeeze
King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game
Soothsayer saying now tell me no lies

What is the madness that is filling the skies
Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain

VIDEO: Changing the History: Building a 30-Story Hotel in 15 days.

FREE ZONE MEDIA CENTER
This is incredible.  I had to view it twice.  It's another reason why we have
to focus on China as a country that is soaring ahead of us in so many areas.
This 30 story Hotel took 15 days to build!
Notice each of the sections already has electric and water pipes installed and
were tested all prior to them leaving the factory.
The "sections" formed and pre-tested at the factory, snug together like lego
building blocks. Look at the earthquake resistance level.

GUN MAKERS REFUSING TO SELL ARMS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OF GUN CONTROL STATES

Group of Second Amendment-Supporting Gun Makers Now Refusing to Sell Arms to Law Enforcement in New York (And Other Gun-Restricting States)

This story has been updated to add two additional gun makers and sellers to the list of those no longer patronizing law enforcement in states that do not support the Second Amendment.
Since New York State enacted its restrictive new gun laws, many manufacturers have sent that state (and others) a message: If local governments are going to severely restrict the ability of citizens to own guns, then these companies will not be selling to law enforcement in those areas.
Among the gun manufacturers sending that message:
Olympic Arms posted a press release on the company’s Facebook page earlier this week. Their intentions were quite clear.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.
Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

TEXAS PREPS FOR GOING IT ALONE

Texas preps for going it alone

Proposal considers collapse of U.S. and how Lone Star state would survive

Texas was its own nation before joining the United States, and many jokes have been made about some Texans still not recognizing that “other government” with which it now is affiliated.
But lawmakers there are drawing attention by considering a law that would have Texas review how it would respond should the U.S. government no longer be there to send federal tax revenue back to the state.

The proposal would set up a committee to study what the state gets from Washington, “the effects on the state budget if federal fiscal policy necessitates a significant reduction in or elimination of federal funding” and “a plan to address the loss of federal money.”
The plan, HB 568, has been introduced by Rep. James White, who said in a statement Texas Self-Sufficiency Act “creates a select committee to evaluate the effects of a possible reduction in or elimination of federal funding on the state budget due to federal fiscal policy.”
“Due to the fiscal dysfunction of Washington, D.C., and the fact that more than a third of our state’s budget revenue comes from the federal government, Texas needs to study what it would mean if the federal government couldn’t meet its obligations,” he said.
The plan directs the governor, lieutenant governor and other officials to assemble a committee “to analyze not only our state’s dependence on federal funds, but the impact of federal funding on Texas’ economy.”
Said White: “My district in South East Texas, for example, has a higher proportion of seniors compared to the state overall percentage. What would happen in the event the federal government eliminated the funds normally allocated to them? In the current economic climate, exacerbated by out of control spending in Washington, Texas needs to study possible responses to federal financial turmoil, and our readiness to adjust to such an event. Texans must govern Texas and Texans need to be concerned about Texas.”
On the website for the state GOP, David Bellow blogged about the idea.
“State Rep. James White has proposed a bill that will require the leaders of Texas to start crunching the numbers and figure out what Texas would look like if it had to be self sufficient … limited or no federal support … OUR OWN COUNTRY…. oops, I am getting a little ahead of myself, haha. Hey, I didn’t say secession but that certainly comes to mind when thinking about the federal government having a financial meltdown and cutting off most or all support to the states.”
Bellow asked: “What would Texas do in the event that the United States of America defaulted? It is a very real possibility that one day the massive U.S. debt will become so large and unsustainable that it causes a financial meltdown. Texas, and pretty much everyone else, would all of a sudden be faced with no more federal funds (which is really just Texas tax dollars given to the feds which is then given back to Texas). Yes, Texas is already a sovereign state, but what would we do if faced with complete sovereignty and no federal money?”
He explained: “State Representative James White is thinking ahead. He does not want to have to wait until Texas gets cut off from the federal government to determine how Texas will manage on our own. White wants to start planning now.”

PERRY UNDERCUTS OBAMA'S SOTU RUSE

Adamo: Governor Perry Undercuts Barack Obama's SOTU Ruse

By Christopher G. Adamo
Despite all of the leftist hype and contrived anticipation preceding Barack Obama’s 2013 “State of the Union” spectacle, the entire event was monotonously predictable and absolutely nothing of substance came out of it. From his standard litany of disingenuous platitudes to the shameless media fawning that inevitably followed, every aspect of Obama’s latest appearance followed the standard pattern of a self-absorbed ruler and his slavish public relations lapdogs posing as news reporters.
Even their “coverage” of the rebuttal by Senator Marco Rubio (R.-FL) was executed according to a previously strategized plan. As has invariably been the case with any previous Republican “rising star,” Rubio was slated for political annihilation before he ever spoke a word. In the end, the liberal “punditry” seized on Rubio’s sip of water as a gaffe that somehow eclipsed the substance of everything he had to say. Since their only alternative would have been to weigh his commentary against Obama’s stream of vacuous lies, liberal commentators were determined to avert a side-by-side comparison at all cost, and regardless of how petty the deception made them appear.
With North Korea assembling a nuclear arsenal and tooling up for war, radical Islam burgeoning throughout the Middle-East in the wake of Obama’s “Arab Spring, and the U.S. economy continuing to unravel, of course the defining issue of the day is the hysterically concocted impropriety of taking a drink of water in front of the cameras. In contrast, Barack Obama’s straight faced announcement that “Nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime” can best be translated “My loyal followers are a bunch of idiots.” Yet to the liberal media, this glaring affront to common sense is not news. Clearly, they regard their devoted viewership with equal contempt.
Many on the right have expressed outrage at Obama’s threat to bypass the Congress if it fails to cooperate with him. Yet even this is nothing new. For many years, Obama has repeatedly made know his resentment of the Constitution and the limits it imposes on his grandiose plan to remake America, openly decrying its checks and balances as an irritation and an impediment. From his first days in office, his actions have revealed a determination to circumvent them by any means possible. Forget all of that trite nonsense about swearing to uphold the Constitution. That archaic scrap of parchment, and indeed the law itself are merely an obstacle to be overcome.
