Surprise!
When Lindsey Graham isn't sucking up to John McCain, you can bet your bottom dollar he's busy helping a Democrat advance the left's agenda.  Whether he's attacking "wacko birds" like Cruz and Paul for supporting the Constitution, or campaigning against Donald Trump, he seems stuck in an endless loop of anti-GOP behavior. Frankly, at this point, he should probably just switch parties.
I mean, who can forget this precious moment?

Well, just in case you needed further evidence that Graham really does love colluding with Democrats, WikiLeaks has you covered.  In an email to John Podesta, Democratic strategist Paul Harstad confirms what we've all come to assume is the case.
Lindsey Graham is the Obama administration's closest Republican ally.
As Harstad wrote:
“I presume it has occurred to you all, but I would urge the POTUS to discreetly talk with Lindsay Graham [sic] in the next few days to congratulate him on his impressive primary win.
He perhaps shouldn’t directly put a call into Graham -- which would probably get out -- but perhaps pass the word to invite Graham to call him.
Graham is the best future Republican ally of the administration for the next two years, and in a close Senate may provide a critical vote on a number of occasions.”
Congratulations, Senator Graham. We're sure the people you represent are glad to know that you're the "go to guy" for Democrat strategists everywhere.

VIDEO: Donald Trump has received over four times as much network TV coverage as Hitlery. The problem is a stunning 91% of it is openly “hostile” or “negative”

There has been four times as much negative network TV coverage of Donald Trump than there has been of Hitlery over the past 12 weeks. 91% of Trump coverage has been openly "hostile" or "negative."
As reported by Newsbusters, In the twelve weeks since the party conventions concluded in late July, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has received significantly more broadcast network news coverage than his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, but nearly all of that coverage (91%) has been hostile, according to a new study by the Media Research Center (MRC).
In addition, the networks spent far more airtime focusing on the personal controversies involving Trump (440 minutes) than about similar controversies involving Clinton (185 minutes). Donald Trump’s treatment of women was given 102 minutes of evening news airtime, more than that allocated to discussing Clinton’s e-mail scandal (53 minutes) and the Clinton Foundation pay-for-play scandals (40 minutes) combined.
For this study, the MRC analyzed all 588 evening news stories that either discussed or mentioned the presidential campaign on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts from July 29 through October 20 (including weekends). The networks devoted 1,191 minutes to the presidential campaign during this period, or nearly 29 percent of all news coverage.
Our measure of campaign spin was designed to isolate the networks’ own slant, not the back-and-forth of the campaign trail. Thus, our analysts ignored soundbites which merely showcased the traditional party line (Republicans supporting Trump and bashing Clinton, and vice versa), and instead tallied evaluative statements which imparted a clear positive or negative tone to the story. Such statements may have been presented as quotes from non-partisan talking heads such as experts or voters, quotes from partisans who broke ranks (Republicans attacking Trump or Democrats criticizing Clinton), or opinionated statements from the reporter themselves.
Additionally, we separated personal evaluations of each candidate from statements about their prospects in the campaign horse race (i.e., standings in the polls, chances to win, etc.). While such comments can have an effect on voters (creating a bandwagon effect for those seen as winning, or demoralizing the supports of those portrayed as losing), they are not “good press” or “bad press” as understood by media scholars as far back as Michael Robinson’s groundbreaking research on the 1980 presidential campaign.
The results show neither candidate was celebrated by the media (as Obama was in 2008), but network reporters went out of their way to hammer Trump day after day, while Clinton was largely out of their line of fire.
Our analysts found 184 opinionated statements about Hillary Clinton, split between 39 positive statements (21%) vs. 145 negative (79%). Those same broadcasts included more than three times as many opinionated statements about Trump, 91 percent of which (623) were negative vs. just nine percent positive (63).
Even when they were critical of Hillary Clinton — for concealing her pneumonia, for example, or mischaracterizing the FBI investigation of her e-mail server — network reporters always maintained a respectful tone in their coverage.
This was not the case with Trump, who was slammed as embodying “the politics of fear,” or a “dangerous” and “vulgar” “misogynistic bully” who had insulted vast swaths of the American electorate. Reporters also bluntly called out Trump for lying in his public remarks in a way they never did with Clinton, despite her own robust record of false statements. [For a flavor of the kind of coverage Trump has been receiving from the Big Three networks this year, watch the video embedded below.]
As for those “horse race” assessments that we excluded from our “good press/bad press” measure, those were decidedly anti-Trump as well. Out of 569 such statements about the health or prospects of Trump’s campaign, 85% (486) were negative, vs. 15% (83) that were positive. For Clinton, the spin was reversed: out of 432 assessments of her status in the race, 62% (268) were positive, vs. just 38% (164) that were negative.
Thus, judging by their own coverage, network reporters have consistently painted Clinton as the most likely to win, but they have inexplicably spent most of their time trying to dismantle the underdog in the race while giving the frontrunner much lighter scrutiny.
Overall, the networks spent about 40 percent more airtime covering Trump (785 minutes) than they did on Clinton (478 minutes). Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson received just over nine minutes of coverage, while Green candidate Jill Stein and independent conservative candidate Evan McMullin each received less than one minute of airtime.
As noted above, more than half of Trump’s coverage (440 minutes, or 56%) focused on the various controversies surrounding his candidacy, while only about 38 percent of Clinton’s airtime was spent on her controversies (185 minutes).
By far, the top topic since the party conventions has been the issue of Donald Trump’s treatment of women, especially the 2005 Access Hollywood tape (which received nearly 50 minutes of evening news coverage) and the unproven allegations from several women that he engaged in inappropriate conduct in the past (26 minutes).
Add it all up, and Trump’s alleged sexist behavior or rhetoric has totaled 102 minutes of news coverage since the conventions. In contrast, references to Bill Clinton’s past treatment of women, and Hillary Clinton’s role in covering up her husband’s wrongdoing, amounted to less than seven minutes of coverage during this same period, a roughly 15-to-1 disparity.
Other Trump controversies were given robust coverage: the issue of his tax returns (33 minutes), his concern that the November election could be “rigged” (27 minutes), and suggestions that Trump and his aides are too close to Putin’s Russia (22 minutes).
In contrast, controversies involving Hillary Clinton received far less attention. Her “basket of deplorables” comment received just seven minutes of total coverage, while barely two minutes (134 seconds) was spent talking about her handling of the 2012 attack in Benghazi when she was Secretary of State.
Bill Clinton’s crack that ObamaCare was a “crazy system” was limited to just 140 seconds of evening news coverage, even though it signaled the kind of intra-party split that would surely have received far more coverage if it had been a Republican vs. a Republican.
Just last week, a Quinnipiac poll found that more than half of all voters (55%) thought the media’s coverage had been biased against Trump. With coverage like this, the question is, what are the other 45 percent thinking?

DOJ's Loretta Lynch Tried To Squash Comey's Letter To Congress

Last night a leaked memo was revealed, indicating FBI director James Comey's stated reasons for reopening the Clinton email probe upon discovering what now appear to be tens of thousands of Huma Abedin emails located on Anthony Weiner's notebook. Comey revealed two core reasons for the action: a sense of obligation to lawmakers and a concern that word of the new email discovery would leak to the media and raise questions of a coverup. What he did not reveal, and as has emerged overnight from a report by the New Yorker's Jane Mayer, is that Comey also acted in contravention to DOJ practices, and more importantly, acted contrary to the "preference" of DOJ head Loretta Lynch, whose infamous meeting with Bill Clinton on the Phoenix tarmac at the end of June will likely be reassessed in light of these latest revelations.

According to the New Yorker, "Comey’s decision to make public new evidence that may raise additional legal questions about Clinton was contrary to the views of the Attorney General, according to a well-informed Administration official. Lynch expressed her preference that Comey follow the department’s longstanding practice of not commenting on ongoing investigations, and not taking any action that could influence the outcome of an election, but he said that he felt compelled to do otherwise."
Traditionally, the Justice Department has advised prosecutors and law enforcement to avoid any appearance of meddling in the outcome of elections, even if it means holding off on pressing cases. One former senior official recalled that Janet Reno, the Attorney General under Bill Clinton, “completely shut down” the prosecution of a politically sensitive criminal target prior to an election. “She was adamant—anything that could influence the election had to go dark,” the former official said.
And the punchline:
"according to the Administration official, Lynch asked Comey to follow Justice Department policies, but he said that he was obliged to break with them because he had promised to inform members of Congress if there were further developments in the case. He also felt that the impending election created a compelling need to inform the public, despite the tradition of acting with added discretion around elections. The Administration official said that Lynch and Justice Department officials are studying the situation, which he called unprecedented."
The Hill confirms as much, reporting today that Comey went against the wishes of Attorney General Loretta Lynch when he sent a letter to Congress Friday notifying them that the agency was reviewing new emails “pertinent” to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
A government official who requested anonymity to discuss the matter told The Hill that the Justice Department’s stance was to abstain from taking any actions that could impact the presidential race.

The AG’s position is consistent with the department’s position not to take investigative steps that would influence an election so close to an election and to not comment on ongoing investigations. Director Comey decided to operate independently of that guidance by sending that letter to the Hill.”
So does the NYT:
The day before the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, sent a letter to Congress announcing that new evidence had been discovered that may be related to the completed Hillary Clinton email investigation, the Justice Department strongly discouraged the step and told him that he would be breaking with longstanding policy, three law enforcement officials said.

Senior Justice Department officials did not move to stop him from sending the letter, officials said, but they did everything short of it, pointing to policies against talking about current criminal investigations or being seen as meddling in elections.

That Mr. Comey moved ahead despite those protestations underscores the highly unusual nature of Friday’s revelations, which added a dramatic twist to the final days of a presidential campaign and reignited a firestorm that Mrs. Clinton believed she had put behind her when the F.B.I. decided in July not to charge anyone in the investigation.
While Loretta Lynch's reputation may now be tarnished, alongside that of James Comey, who is almost certainly a dead public servant walking, and will be promptly fired by either republicans or democrats after the election, one wonders how events would have played out under Lynch's predecessor Eric Holder:
Matthew Miller, a Democrat who served as the public-affairs director at the Justice Department under Holder, recalled that in one case, the department waited until after an election to send out subpoenas. “They didn’t want to influence the election—even though the subpoenas weren’t public,” he said. “People may think that the public needs to have this information before voting, but the thing is the public doesn’t really get the information. What it gets is an impression that may be false, because they have no way to evaluate it. The public always assumes when it hears that the F.B.I. is investigating that there must be something amiss. But there may be nothing here at all. That’s why you don’t do this.”
Miller added that “Comey is an outstanding law-enforcement officer but he mistakenly thinks that the rules don’t apply to him. But there are a host of reasons for these rules.” Or perhaps the DOJ's rules pandering to politicians were flawed from the beginning?
One thing appears obvious: by killing the probe into Clinton this summer, Comey burned one half of the bridge; reopening the probe on Friday was the other half.
“I don’t really blame Comey,” another former Justice Department official said. “But it’s troubling.” This official thought that Comey “didn’t want to look tainted. This new information comes to him, and he’s afraid if he doesn’t make it public until after the election he’ll be impeached. People will say he lied to Congress. But in the end he did the self-protective thing. Was it the right thing? Put it this way: it isn’t what previous Administrations have done.”
Of course it isn't, and that's what the Clinton campaign had been betting on.
Meanwhile, having been the Democrats' best friend, Comey is now - according to prominent Democrat Howard Dean - on the same side as Putin.
At least when things don't go your way, you can still just blame the Russians...

Media Blackout: Hillary Calls for Killing ‘a Lot of Civilians,’ Starting War with Russia

By: Nick Bernabe

The media paid little attention when Hillary Clinton advocated killing civilians and starting a war with Russia during Sunday’s presidential debate — probably because the U.S. media is actively cheering on these very actions.

FBI Director Comey Explains Reopened Criminal Investigation to FBI Agents

Breitbart

FBI Director James Comey released a memo to his agents explaining his decision to reopen the criminal investigation against Hillary Clinton.

“We don’t ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel an obligation to do so given that I testified repeatedly in recent months that our investigation was completed,” Comey said in his memo, which was first publicized by Fox News.
Yesterday, the investigative team briefed me on their recommendation with respect to seeking access to emails that have recently been found in an unrelated case. Because those emails appear to be pertinent to our investigation, I agreed that we should take appropriate steps to obtain and review them.
The memo was sent just after he told eight Democratic leaders and eight Republican leaders on Capitol Hill about his decision to link the emails found during the criminal investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s online activities, to the completed investigation of Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information. The emails were found in Weiner’s electronics, partly because his wife — Huma Abedin — is Hillary Clinton’s top advisor.
“I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record,” Comey wrote.
At the same time, however, given that we do not know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails, I don’t want to create a misleading impression. In trying to strike that balance, in a brief letter, and in the middle of an election season, there is significant risk of being misunderstood, but I wanted you to hear directly from me about it.

In recent weeks, Comey has come under increasing criticism for his decision to not urge a federal prosecution of Clinton for mishandling secret information, as new evidence has emerged that suggests top FBI officials ignored evidence and were rewarded by Democratic officials.

What You Need To Know
Twice this week AlertsUSA subscribers were notified via SMS messages to their mobile devices regarding European terror threats.
On Saturday, AlertsUSA subscribers were notified of an announcement by the UK Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre that the threat level for London public transport has been raised to "severe," which means an attack is "highly likely”. This threat level increase comes in response to the discovery of a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) on a London Underground train near the O2 Centre, a large indoor shopping and entertainment facility located on Finchley Road in southeast London.
The following day, a 19-year-old man was tasered during a dramatic street arrest on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of a terrorist act. Witnesses described the young man being dragged to the ground by plain-clothed masked officers carrying machine guns. During a related investigation, British police have found a second device believed to be a bomb in a residence in England's southwest.
The Times newspaper is describing the discovery of the device in the London subway as the first credible bombing attempt on the London transport network in more than 10 years. Readers are reminded that Islamic militants carried out a coordinated set of suicide bombings in London on July 7, 2005 killing 52 people and injuring hundreds of others.
Security is being stepped up at London's major train and subway stations including the deployment of heavily armed police out of concern of follow-on attempts.
Germany Warns of Imminent Terror Threat
On Tuesday AlertsUSA subscribers were notified of a large counterterrorism operation carried out carried out in Germany involving simultaneous raids on 13 different locations spread across 5 federal states as a result of what German authorities describe an imminent terror threat. The operation is reported to be targeting “Islamist-linked terror suspects.” A 28-year-old suspect, said to be a “Russian national of Chechen descent” with links to Islamic State, is wanted by police and is believed to plotting "a serious act of violence." Other suspects include 10 men and three women, all of which have Islamist backgrounds and are reporte d to be asylum seekers with unknown residence status. One person is reported to have been arrested in the raids. A nationwide manhunt for the remainder of the suspected is ongoing.
Readers are reminded that this year alone Germany has experienced a string of Islamist attacks, including an axe attack on a train, a mass shooting at a shopping center, a hacking death of a pregnant woman and a bombing at a music festival.
AlertsUSA continues to monitor the overall domestic and international threat environment and will immediately notify service subscribers via SMS messages of new alerts, warnings and advisories or any developments which signal a change the overall threat picture for American citizens as events warrant.
